Another change of name for this topic, Becky? Do I feel Christmas is near? To get back to the topic, no Broken Sword alas but I'll give you another clue. Fourth clue: These beans will get someone running . Bernard

Thank you Bernard! Well, I've been missing your cryptic clues so I thought I would have a bash albeit lacking the culture & finesse! Quite easy really - one word in the answer to each clue is a feature of the game: 1 1972 Horror film directed by James H Kay 3rd (described by British film critic Barry Norman as "mind boggling trash"!) 2 US Jazz singer born in 1915 3 TV Sci Fi series of the 60's created by Irwin Allen

Last try for today: 7 Days a Skeptic. Nice clues chrissie, except there are to much options for the third clue. Bernard

I might have this one: How about Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's mine? I definitely know the name of the Jazz singer and I think I know the name of the Irwin Allen series, not that I watched it except for a few times.
To love is to be happy with!

Sorry sierramindy, not Al Emmo! I'm off to bed now, working tomorrow so won't be back for a while so another clue: 4 Occupation of main characters in a famous Samuel Beckett play.

Glad you've been amusing yourselves while I've been away! Anyway, sorry Becky & Bernard - not the right answers! Mmmm - I thought this would be easier - okay: 5 Country that has been represented by skier Pernilla Wilberg. If that doesn't help the next clue is going to be a terrible limerick! | | |

You've got it Bernard so it's back to you! The answers are of course 1 - (The) Gardener, 2 - (Billie) Holiday, 3 - (The Time) Tunnel, 4 - Tramp, 5 - Sweden Info for The Gardener came from the 2002 Edition of 'RadioTimes Guide to Films' published by BBC Worldwide Limited. I checked the listing & the year is definitely 1972 - maybe it's an Atlantic thing! I'm not sure that I got the author of the quote right though - sorry about that! I think I'll just stick to bad rhymes in future! | | |
