Listening Live in the Gameboomers' Delin: All ticket confirmations have been sent, so please check those emails (and you might check the Spam Filtered area as well, in case we were blocked). Please note the time for your reservation and attend at the proper time to eliminate crowded conditions.
The concert in GameBoomers' Delin will be broadcast via URU VoiceChat. There is nothing for you to do except to
make sure that you have VoiceChat enabled in your in-game settings and that your speakers are on and at a comfortable volume.
Please do NOT use Teamspeak or Shoutcast while in the GameBoomers' Delin. Use only the game sound in Delin to listen to the concert. :eeksnoman:
If you can't make it into the GameBoomers' Delin, you can still hear the concerts via either Teamspeak or Shoutcast. Instructions are below. Listening via Teamspeak: (For Listeners Outside the GameBoomers' Delin)Assuming you have Teamspeak installed and are familiar with the basic operation, open Teamspeak and choose Connection / Quickconnect. Enter "gtchat.hopto.org" (without the quotes) in the Server Address field and create a name in the Nickname field (it will tell you if you've duplicated a name already in use, so just try a different one if this happens). The other two fields can be left blank.
Upon getting in, look for the channel named "Cavern Choir Winter Concert" and RIGHT-CLICK on it and choose "Switch to Channel". You will now be ready to listen to the concert. Set your speakers to a comfortable volume (I am told that there will be some holiday songs playing before the concert so that you can check volume levels). Please note that all speaking capabilities will be disabled so that the concert will not be interrupted by Teamspeak chat.
Listening via Shoutcast (For Listeners Outside the GameBoomers' Delin) (the concert is hosted at Radio KTDN on URUtunes):There are several ways to connect:
a.) Easiest - Playing via the embedded player on the Radio KTDN Webpage: Click on the following link and the embedded player should start playing. Some computers have trouble with this method so try one of the other options if it does not play.
http://urutunes.com/play.php?bc=10b.) Using Windows Media Player (or other media player) - Open Windows Media Player, then choose File / Open URL and enter http://radioktdn.zapto.org:8025 (must be exact including the colon after org). The music should start.
c.) Direct Link - You may also be able to connect by just clicking on this link: http://radioktdn.zapto.org:8025. That takes you to the Shoutcast Server Status page. Don't be put off by the "private" designation, as that simply means it's not listed on the Shoutcast site.
At the top of the page is a link for Listen. Click on that and choose Open when the prompt pops up. In some computers, it may not recognize the file "listen.pls", but if you have WinAmp or some other similar tune player, it should recognize the file and start that program.
Please don't try to listen to more than one option since the songs will not be synchronized due to internet latency (as it will sound a mess). Have fun and enjoy the concert! :holidays: .
(Thanks Dadguy!)
