Arsène Lupin -- brilliant gentleman thief, romancer of women and all-around mischief-maker -- has left the Continent in order to take on someone of his own intellectual level. Sherlock Holmes. Inferno observes the two as they match wits. Who will emerge as the victor? And what will the spoils turn out to be?

Nice work inferno!

I agree the plot twists and clever puzzles made this game a winner for me.

Thanks for the review.

I bought my issue of the game as a direct download from Frogwares. No problems with the download or install.

Thank you Inferno for a great review! - I've just recently just ordered this (no sign of it yet!)- but really enjoyed The Awakened & looking forward to more. The only reservation I have is the control system which I thought was very good in The Awakened but unfortunately made me feel nauseous a lot of the time - I hope that Frogwares can rethink this for future games. smile

All you have to do is lower the mouse sensitivity in the control menu. That should help you.

Thanks Inferno from me, too smile for a very well-rounded and very well written review of this game.

I see this game is 1st person. Do you know if you can lock the camera or is there much head bopping or sidepanning without a locked camera ? I'm asking since I tend to get motion sickness when playing 1st person games, unless the game's camera can get locked.

Also, is there an English demo out yet - and not just the French demo (which for some reason didn't want to get installed on my computer frown )

/Karsten

Lock the camera? Head bopping?
Have you played/tried to play The Awakened?
It's that kind of movement.
There's no "bobbing" (up and down as you walk) but it has free movement in all directions -- forward, back, and strafing as well as rotating. It isn't node-based. If you haven't played The Awakened, maybe you've played Sentinel or Schizm 2? They had similar movement.

The camera movement seems to move in the diretion that the mouse is pointed --- but it doesnot spin.
