I cannot get past learning how to talk with Niels. I have the walkthrough, which has been great; but I am still totally dumbfounded as to what needs to be done to communicate and move on....anyone? Thanks in advance. Winter

Take a look at the last pages of the post named ghost in the sheet a few lines below yours. It says what you need so you can pass the flute puzzle. In general you have to listen to Neils and correspond the second sound he makes with a hole on your flute. The first sound is either angry or happy depending if you answer with the correct sound. You must give seven sound answers. Take a look at the post i spoke about and if you have any problem let me know.
