It will be awhile before you get a Segbuzz to defeat the Shadow Elf on the bridge in Dunmore. That fairy fight in the mountains is a tough one. Make sure you are using the right kind of fairies against them and like Hawka says, make sure the are leveled up and carrying strong spells.

Got to the cave in the mountains and have found all kinds of goodies. My fairies are gradually getting leveled up. I think Boneria is at level 42 now. I don't remember the others.

Guess I need to start playing again so you don't get too far ahead of me! Did you find the sparkly thing in the bush in front of the entry to the caves that made steps to go get a sphere?

No, I did not. Will work on it tomorrow.

Got friends coming over tonight. Fixing Chicken Marsala. Have you fixed that yet?

Haven't fixed it yet, but I'm waiting for the sweet marsala wine to come in. The lady at the Italian Market ordered it for me. We're going to a Valentines's day steak dinner and comedy show at the Union auditorium tonight.

There was one sphere floating in the middle of one of the chasms I never did get because I never found the sparkly thing to set off the steps to it.

Of course, you can always buy spheres in Tiralin, too.

I just HATED leaving anything behind! There was only one other thing I couldn't get to no what I tried in my 4 times through this game. There were some bags of goodies I think it was along the way to the Shadow Elves' cavern. I never found any sparkly thingie and drowned any way I tried to get to them.

I could never get the pixie on top of the tall rock thing in the ruins. I used the air fairy to jump the air things, but could not for the life of me get to the top. I still didn't beat the end fights either, not even the first one and I am tired of training the fairies. So it sits on my computer, unfinished.

I have never tryed Chicken Marsala, the liquor store over here possibly has the wine, not sure about the grocery store. Recipe please, just in case.

I just sent you the recipe Bets sent me. Sounds extremely yummy! I didn't have any trouble getting that pixie, although it was a bit tricky.

Okay, I seem to be going around in circles in the mountains. Where is the Tower of the Dwarves?

The tower of the Dwarves is higher up the mountain and you have to have three cards to use the thingy that takes you up there. These are different cards, not the ones that are hard to find. If you have the tower rune, use that and go around the corner to see the elevator, at least I think that is where it is. Everyone went away to the beach today, so I have peace and quiet, maybe I can go and take a look.

Edit here: Draclvr, thanks for sending on Bet's recipe, sounds like it would be good with veal also, haha, if it was affordable.

Welcome to the club! I spent a LOT of time going in circles in the mountains. Luckily, they were gorgeous! There will be some of your toughest fights up there. When you get up to the right area, you will go left to go to the Tower of the Dwarves. But you should go right and go down the path to enter the Dark Caves. You will need to capture a Psi fairy down there. You will have to defeat a Dwarf who won't fight you unless you have a Psi fairy in your deck. Just left past the Tower of the Dwarves is an area with an screw elevator which will take you to the Realm of the Clouds. But like Hawka says, you need three Fairy stones to activate it. This is a copy and past from that walkthrough I gave you the link to.

Exit the area (not back to the Cottage). You will get to the beginning of the mountain area. Follow the right wall into the next area. Run across the bridge and defeat the Shadow elf. Then turn right. You will be looking into an open area with pixies and hidden tricks to get stuff. Follow the wall directly right, when standing by the entrance, into the next area. Cross the bridge after defeating the elf and follow left along the wall. You will find a cave type area with the exit in the back. Turn right in the next area and enter the first door you find on your right. Turn left (turn right here and enter the Dark Caves to get a PSI fairy which you will need), kill the elf and follow the path. Turn left into the cave to exit the area.
• You are near the Dwarf Tower. Turn left and follow the path and enter the tower. Grab the Tower Rune and the Mountain map. Defeat all the dwarves and check out their rooms. Solve the chest puzzle at the top and you receive the Earth Key!

Wow, I guess I gotta go back down in the dark cave and get that PSI fairy. I don't have it.

And guess what I did. I got the stairway to the silver sphere.

Cool! The Dark Caves are a great place to train up certain fairies too - especially Light, Stone and Ice fairies.

Okay, I'm gonna need some more help.

I tried to follow the directions that Drac copied and put in just above, but I just can't seem to find the way. I crossed the bridge and defeated the shadow elf, the first wooden bridge. I lose it from there. If I turn right after I get off the bridge, it gives me the stairway and turns me around. Now, where do I go from there?

I reread that paste and I think it's telling you to go right to get a bunch of pixies and goodies first and then to go back to the bridge where you defeated the Shadow Elf.

I would try to follow the directions from when it says to go across the wooden bridge where you defeated the elf and stay to the left and go into the cave area and then out the back. I think it is here where you turn right to go into the Dark Caves to try to get a Psi Fairy and you turn left to defeat another elf and are then are at the Tower of the Dwarves.

I'd have to play to that area to be sure because it's really confusing there. I just got home from work, but will try later to see if that is how to get to the Tower. I love being up there because the veiws are so gorgeous.

I tried going back across the bridge but there is nowhere else to go but back to the fairy garden, so I'm still confused.

Well, I've got to agree with you the more I look at that walkthrough quote. I played a couple of hours last night and this morning, but my fairies aren't strong enough to beat the Shadow Elf on the little wooden bridge. So I went right and went down into the Dark Caves to level up my Corgot. He rocks against those Psi fairies. I also got more goodies and another silver sphere in the trees by the entrance. I also scored a Tinefoil - my favorite fairy and one you will need to capture soon. I also got a Mencre and a Mentaur down in the caves.

I was just thinking. Are we talking about the same bridge? Are you talking about on of the suspended bridges or the little footbridge across a tiny stream on the side of the mountain real high up?

I'm talking about the wooden suspended bridge. I'll have to go back into the game and give you the levels my fairies are at, also a list of the fairies that I have. Do that later.

The wooden suspension bridge I am talking about is the first one you come to after you get into the mountains.

I got to thinking that might be it.

After the wooden suspension bridge, keep going until you get to what I think of as the main entrance to the mountain realm after you go across the bridges and rock spans. It has several huge stone columns in front with the opening to a cave in the back. You will fight some stone fairies here - usually Gremors. Grab one if you can. There are a bunch of goodies around here too. Finally go into the cave and come out the back. If you look down to the right, you will see a meadow down below with a ton of goodies and a pixie. Go down and get everything in every nook and cranny. When you are done, come up to the path above again, go left and keep going. You will come to a choice of going right into a cave or continuing on the narrow path. The narrow path will take you to some goodies. If you go right into the cave you will come out on another path where there is a very tough fight with a Shadow Elf (which I can't get past yet) on the left and the Dark Caverns are to the right at the bottom. There are some tough fairies in the pine trees at the bottom of the hill, but there are also a bunch of goodies in there. Go into the Dark Caverns to pick up more stuff including some Dwarf crystals. When you're ready, go fight that Shadow Elf to continue on to the Tower of the Dwarves.

I'm so glad Drac is helping you Bets. Don't mean to interrupt, but just in case you guys don't have this list on where all the fairies are, I thought I would link to it here.

One other question. Is there any way to keep from getting bewitched in fairy fights?

I don't know of one, unless you use the spell that mirrors what is cast on you back to them. Some of the time, if you do your movement in reverse you can still function. That doesn't explain well, does it? Uh, if the spell is making you go backwards when you're trying to go forwards, go backwards yourself and you'll go forward.
I think it's the psi fairies that do this the most, isn't it? Use whatever fairy they are weak against and try and put them out of commission fast!
