I need help with the safe puzzle in the secret room in the Kaiser Wilhem Institute near the beginning of the game. I have read the walkthrough. I put the paper shreds together and read the journal. I know I'm supposed to use PI 3.1415. I've tried it backwards and forwards and I can't get the durn safe open. Nothing happens, no clicks, no nothin! I'm starting to tear out my hair! Thank you for any help! Molly

Hello MollyTKat! If i remember correctly you must start from zero and turn the dial first left (counter clockwise), right (clockwise), then left etc. Not in one direction at a time starting from number 3. This is all i can remember. Sorry...

Hope this will help

Molly you have the answers, all you should need to do is dial in the numbers. Did John say anything when you first got a closeup of the safe?
Dial the first number [3] to the left then just switch to dialing to the right.

I did it with 3 left, 1 right, 4 left, 1 right, 5 left. I clicked on the center after the 3 and heard a click, but no clicks after that. John didn't say anything to me after the close up of the safe..is he supposed to? Is this a possible glitch? I'm desperate! Thanks for answering so quickly, but I'm still not getting the safe open. I GOT IT! I talked to Graham before I tried to open the safe, then went to the closeup, dialed in the same way I had been, and VOILA...it opened!! I think maybe it's just the magic of posting on GameBoomers that makes things work! You guys are GREAT! Thank you again! Molly
