Today HMH informed the German audience about this new game.
After Treasure Island and Jekyll & Hyde HMH Interactive is working on a third adventure project: the fantasy adventure game The Book of Unwritten Tales using classic point&click style.
Developer is KingArt (just working on Black Mirror 2) and the release is scheduled for the 1st quarter of 2009.

The Book of Unwritten Tales takes place in a strange fantasy world with scurrile, likable characters and dazzling dialogues. „We are big fantasy fans“, Marc König and Jan Theysen explain, the founders of KING Art. „The Book of Unwritten Tales is our sympathetic view reegarding the little inconsistencies and strangenesses, every fantasy-fan knows. It's a humorous homage to the great novels, movies and games of the genre.“
The Book of Unwritten Tales narrates the exciting, turbulent chase after a legendary artefact. A very old Gremlin-archeologist is the only one who knows, where to find IT. A wizard and a big husky troll kidnapped him, to tell them, how to get it. An involuntary trio of heroes – a fairy, a gnome and a human – head off to save the old archeologist and the endangered whole world.

Thanks Slydos, I hope it gets translated into English and they find a North American publisher. I've always loved fairy tales and that is what this sounds like.

I like the fantasy sub-genre too, Looney4labs. And it's fine to have another publisher here intensifying on adventures.
HMH hopes that beside adventure fans this game setting will also appeal to RPG fans.
