I've started playing the game & have got to Day 2 morning. I haven't had any problems so far but never saw any hair in the bathtub the night before & just noticed that there is a patch for the game. I'm using Windows XP - do I need the patch? & if so will it work now I've started the game? Also what does it do?

Chrissie I did patch my game so I could grab that elusive hair......guess what? I still don't have any hair in inventory and never saw one either. But I've been able to advance in the game fairly well without the hair.

You should be able to patch the game at any time. It resolves a walkie-talkie glitch that happens later in the game. See this thread for instructions on using the patch (you will need to copy that new file and overwrite the old "understudy" one in the game directory).

You can play I played without the patch. I did. all what happens is when you use the walkie talkie it throws you back so befor you use the walkie talkie you save and I didn t see the hair in the bath but game went on.I did nt have a lot of probs did nt even know about the hair till I saw it when I got stuck. In the hints section .I always have a look see if any one is stuck in the same place .

msblue why don't you try to play along and see how the game plays for you? Not everyone patched their game and you might be one of those lucky few.

Sue

Edit Sorry forgot to give you the patch site just in case you do need it
Here it is

Just finished, what a game! But just posting to say that I didn't patch it & had no problems whatsoever including the first time you use the walkie talkie. Maybe I ws lucky! smile
