Yes! MAGICAMA is released!

The winner of the Higest Score Competition is Deez - Congratulations!

For those who missed the original posting about the journal (30th July 2006), here it is again ... others can leapfrog to the link at the end smile Please note that this one link gives access to all the previous entries.

Quote:
I've noticed over the years that many of you enjoy a look 'behind the scenes' of the Game Making World.

On the other hand, you may be like me and avoid reading the blurbs on book covers so as to experience the book as the author intended.

If you're in the latter category you'll have to be strong and resist clicking on the link I intend to provide.

Back in January 2005, creation of my third game started and, by a lucky chance, I started keeping an online journal (nowadays it would be called a blog I suppose smile ). A select few have been reading this journal since its inception.

It has a new page for each month so, as I write, it is currently 19 pages long.

Below are the first two pages but note that it is no longer possible to download the game as it develops. Note also that different entries alternate in colour.

If there is sufficient interest, I will publish a new page every two weeks (now weekly) ... by the time we get to the end the new game should be out on CD.
Journal - March 2007

Best wishes ... Peter

If you buy the game it would be nice if while you are playing it you could post at Peter's forum. We did that when Magnetic came out and it was great fun to play the game together as a group - giving each other hints and encouragement along the way smile

If I recall correctly with the previous games, you get your link to the forum along with the info needed to sign on when you purchase the game. Peter should be on sometime soon to answer any questions.

Sorry for the slow reply - we were on the road all yesterday but no longer leaving MAGICAMA boxes along the way smile

Forum details are provided in the e-mail following CD or download ordering. (Deez, I just dashed off your prize notification so you'd be among the first to get MAGICAMA and neglected to include it.)

Anyone having trouble with the Demo, please e-mail me - I have managed to get all enquireres going so far!

Hi Peter,
I'm busily enjoying Peter's Jigsaws and I think just maybe I'm seeing a few future puzzles here?

Thanks everyone for your neat comments.

I keep looking at the new CD and can't believe it's finished!

And of course lots of great e-mails from folk as they start playing.

And now? Now I think it's time to start using my holiday trip for other things - I'm off to read a book under a tree smile

I just ordered the CD and can hardly wait to get it! Loved the other two games - full of very unusual and unique puzzles.

Great excitement - the first batch of overseas CDs has started arriving!

And of course many folk have managed the Big Download and are playing already.

Time moves along. When I posted above about Peter's Jigsaws, I had not an inkling that only 8 days later I would be deep into the Magicama Demo and ordering the whole game. Still enjoying the Friday puzzle though.
