Those of you in the U.S. with young daughters have probably heard of the American Girl Collection -- a collection of dolls, books and accessories that can teach young girls about American history. Now there is also an American Girl adventure game with a wildlife conservation theme. Nickie follows in the footsteps of Julie, a young American Girl from the 1970s, as Julie and her friend Ivy try their best to save a family of nesting eagles.

Would you reccomend this for those of us who enjoy Nancy Drew or this game for younger players?

Patricia -- this American Girl adventure is aimed at girls ages 8 to 10, whereas the Nancy Drew games are for gamers ages 10 to 110 (or thereabouts).

So, Julie Saves the Eagles is aimed at a younger audience than Nancy Drew. The game sounds quite enjoyable, though, if you can take that into consideration.

Thanks for reading it, you guys! Patricia, Becky's right - it is geared toward the under ten set, but I actually found it to be fun. Of course, I felt the same way about the Spongebob Squarepants game, so you have to take that into consideration. grin

Is there a demo somewhere, would love to try it. I had tried younger games (Girl Detective) and was just a bit too young for me. However, they were also older games.

I found several sites with the demo but I cannot download it, my AV blocks it because it has Adware.Trymedia.DAO

Hmmm, when I first read the title what popped into my twisted mind was "why would they make a game about an American girl saving a musical group?". oops

Glad I read the thread and learned that they are, after all, really saving real eagles. bravo

That's especially funny Oldman, because at one point in the game there's a guy that helps Julie because he thinks it's the Eagles band she's trying to save.
