Hi everyone, I understand that the games Sherlock Holmes against Arsène Lupin, Agatha Christie Evil Under the Sun and Sinking Island were too new to be considered for the 2007 list of best adventures. But now that you played them, would you put them in your top 5, top 10, or top 20 of the best adventure games you ever played? I am trying to figure out where you would put these games in that list of the best games. Regards, Roland Michel Tremblay http://www.themarginal.com

SH vs. AL would be in my top 20. Evil Under the Sun is a good game, but it wouldn't make my favourites list. I haven't yet played Sinking Island. to GameBoomers, rmt!

No need to welcome me, I have been here with you a very long time, for many years in fact. I just never posted. And don't worry if I don't post often, I will still be here. But thanks! Regards, Roland Michel Tremblay http://www.themarginal.com

Hi,rmt to GameBoomers anyway Sorry to say I couldn't play the Sherlock games due to motion sickness from the game play panning... I loved Evil Under the Sun top 10 for me...Sinking Island I am looking forward to playing when it is released in our area..

Roland, good to see "un Québecois" and to GameBoomers. Do you know if your books are available in book stores around the Montréal region? Chief

Thank you. There is no need to buy my books, they are all online on my website integrally, something I negotiated with my publishers. You can print them if it is easier to read. This page is more complete: http://www.crownedanarchist.comIn French: http://www.anarchistecouronne.com(No, I am not an anarchist...) Unfortunately my website is not about adventure games, though it has always been a lasting passion for me, and eventually I certainly plan to write specifically for that medium, I have a few ideas. I was thinking of ways to programme my own adventure games, Nintendo DS seemed easier, but it is not. Today this seems impossible without a whole professional team. I used to create my own adventures when I was young with my uncle, however it was in Basic on a TRS-80. I have lost them all now, but they were hi-tech and impressive for the time. Hi rmt, I haven't played Sinking Island. Sherlock Holmes AL & Evil Under the sun were two games I did enjoy but neither of them I would include in my 20 top best 20 AGs. AL gave me motion sickness & there were too many vast areas to wander around aimlessly in the hope you might find something/someone to help, I found this tedious, otherwise I really liked the plot. EUTS was far too picky & you found yourself repeatedly going back & forth to try & find what you had missed to try & trigger the next scene. If I was going to place these games in a best AG list possibly for me they would fall into the 50 - 60 range.

I have all three of them and I assume that Arsene Lupin and Sinking Island are in my best 10. Especially for Sinking Island I have to admit that Benoit Sokal has created an absolutely marvellous adventure game very similar to Agatha Christie's series. A detective story with secrets and lies!
