Uninstalled 'two worlds.' Didn't like it. Got 'the witcher' and I already had 'neverwinter nights 2' Both seem awesome games smile I wanted to ask a crazy question. Seems like Geralt can 'accompany' every beautiful girl in the, er, well, bed. So I wanted to ask weather it would effect the story w/ Triss or would it not effect. I was so 'saving myself' for this girl in the game called yakuza and not meeting other girls
Click to reveal..
only to find out that she got married to someone else :'( and it wouldn't have effected the story if I had met other girls

Hi Hugh- yay yay

No, it will not effect his love life with Triss, as she is his true love. I am on my third play through and just love the game, Geralt is a handsome, sexy man and uses that charm to help him at times. Hope you enjoy the game as much as we all have and are still doing. There is a great walkthrough at Gamebanshee and another at gamepressure.com, both are great, but it is the maps that are really good, you need those.

Have fun.

Hey Hugh, I think you'll really enjoy both of those games. NWN2 is pretty linear, but still good. I highly suggest getting the NWN2 expansion Mask of the Betrayer if you don't already, it's fantastic.

TM smile

I feel a lot more like I do now, then when I first got here

Heh heh. As little or as much as you like Hugh. No matter what, Shani and Triss are both there for Geralt.

bigdoglover, you're asking about the adventure game Riddle of the Tomb? You need to post your question in the adventure game hints forum, which is here .

shani is really beautifull. I thought she's just a friend of Geralt. lol. I've done some sidequests. There are a few that require me go to city for example to meet 'mikul' for 'reverend's' trust or give the parcel to someone but the city guards won't let me pass w/o a gate pass. Where do I get that? Also if I had to fight w/ 'reverend' for 'abigail' would I still be able to do the 'trust' quest?
This game is so addictive smile

Edit: It's ok I found 'mikul' I was lookin in the wrong location I guess. I had also found this site:
http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page although gamebanshee and gamepressure are awesome. But I'm havin more fun here as usual.
Now I can't find any cat potion or torch for the cypt.

If I hadn't read at gamepressure that those gates never open I could've kept tryin foREVERENDever laugh

Hey, I'm glad you worked it out! You'll find there is often more than one way you can do stuff. I had a hard time the first time I played not finding a torch or knowing how to get the cat potion. You also have to have the skill that allows you to use the plants you see, and then read the book that allows you to identify what the plants are that you come across.

I had the recipe all the time w/ me. I didn't know that. I just had to read it lol. I'm ashamed of my self. blush Even then he didn't make potion. I thought maybe I lack 'quirm' so I went to abigale but found out I lacked strong alochol. Luckly she had that too. smile Now I know how my cats can run around in dark but not me.

grin Hugh! I have to confess I went through that first cave without either potion or torch, just looking for the bad guys so some light would appear when the cursor hit them!

I had a Cat, but no torch. After the cat wore off, I had to use the little map on the upper right to find my way out!!

Hugh- yay

I agree, the game is very addictive, I am in part five and have for once not used the walkthroughs at all and am finding lots and lots of conversations that Geralt never had before. I am glad the walkthroughs are helping you. Have no fear about the Reverand, just help Abigail when time comes. Wish the new sections would come out and another game.

Take care

Wow, nickie that was brave, I went there w/o the light but came back out. Finally I made the potion at Abigale's house. Draclvr, the potion didn't wear off that quickly on me but maybe because I was using this blue magic thing outside the crypt during my way in and out and back in when I went to check the rest of the crypt for 'king of the crypt' quest. Yup, I took abigale's side, maggie smile

No, I'm just lazy! lol I like the story line best with helping Abigail - and besides, she's a better fighter than those silly townsfolk.

I'm in temple quarter. Just found 'Thaler's' house. There are many dialogs to be clicked with him. Would he get angry on any of the dialogs. Would I miss some quests if I misbehave with him. I told him I believe in him so he's cool with me but I'm not sure he's evil or nice. Or would I find that later?

Hi-

Has anyone played the extra game yet they gave us. I just tried and spent over an hour in one pit killing kikimores and there are two more pits, only two of us, two guys outside could help, they are down the road. Not sure if I like this, don't feel like spending 3-5 hours killing those things, love the small game, but I think the could of done better. Just my two cents.

Thanks

maggie shame duh wave :spring:

Hugh- grin

Yes, Thaler will get angry when you might accuse him of helping the Salamandra,

has he given you the gravediggers info on gambling, he owes debts, if you pay it off you can get the key to the graveyard early. I was never able to

Maggie, I added spoiler tags to your post because Hugh might not want to know what comes later in the chapter. That's a huge chapter and many ways to play it before he gets to that point. Knowing not to accuse Thaler should help though, so I didn't include that part in the spoiler tag.

Hugh, like Maggie says, it's hard, but try and not accuse anyone of helping Salamandra if you can help it - it leaves more options open. I found myself going back to a save several times because the dialog doesn't always let you know you're going to accuse someone, it just comes up in the conversation.

Thanks so much for changing that, I do not know how to do it, I suppose it is easy, I always thought just the Mods could do it, but great idea. You are right, so many ways to accuse and that is not good. Looks like it will be towards the end of the month for the other downloads, they are redoing part of them to make them better. I keep my nose at the Witcher Forum.

Looney, how are you doing????????????????????????????????? evil cry

Have you started to knit yet rotfl rotfl

Maggie, I can see you're using the full reply because of the graemlins - instead of clicking on the smiley face, you click on the megaphone looking thing, which is two blocks to the left of it. When you click on that, spoiler tags will come up. Write between the two spoiler tags. Go ahead and try it out in a post here if you want - I can delete it after.

Edit: You got it Maggie! bravo

thanx for the info again smile
I wanted to ask 2 other things. Is there any main quest in chapter 2 that if completed, would make other side quests unavailable so that I complete all the other quests before proceedin forward in that quest. I'm tryin to find it in the walkthrough too. In chapter 1, I read that I should do all the sidequests before talkin to revenrend about the beast so I did that.
Any idea where I can find dog tallows. I read that u need it for the gravedigger's quest. I have 3 in total and may need 3 more. The alchemist had one. Took the other two from houses I guess. Do u remember any merchants that sell these. I don't want to kill the dogs frown I may be a cat lover but I don't hate dogs frown
