It really caught me by surprise because of some of the levels. I think it was the second or third try with these fairies.

Did you go to the Ruins in the Forest yet? That is the big iron door behind the Dwarf over by the guy who sells Golden Carrots. There is where you will be able to capture Light Fairies and more Energy Fairies...

Where do I get Suane? I don't have a Light fairy. Where do I get one?

ok, loaded this and it is too cute, but--is there a way to replenish mana or use a health potion during a fight? I keep beating the grub thing but not the flying one that comes after me.

You should have gold coins. You can go to the fairy garden and buy health. Use the trainer to level up your fairies to begin with. You will get coins from him. Where are you?

I just started. Got my first fairy. I have potions but can't find a way to use them during battle. In other RPG's I've played you can enable a health or mana potion and use it during battle.

I'm looking for the pixie guy who is going to give me the pixie bag so I can capture the pixie in the magic shop.

When I first started a battle, it said "small stone" on the left of the screen. What does that mean? Also, my fairy now has Special +21 but not sure what that is?

You can't use them during battle, l4l. You have to make sure everyone is at full health and mana before going in. The trainer guy is walking along the stream in Endeva which is the little village where you got your first fairy. The fairy there will not shoot at you, so you can practice flying and shooting there without losing your fairy. Plus you will get coins for each fight. It will take awhile to level your fairy up before she will be able to defeat the wild fairies. Try getting it up to at least a level 10.

Look at your fairy's health quota. It may be full already. 21/30 means how much mana you have. For instance my Suane has 304/304 for health meaning it's full and she has 30/30 meaning her mana is full. As you purchase passive and active spells they will have varying amounts of mana associated with them.

Press F1 and you will find out everything you EVER wanted to know!

Oh, and switching fairies during battle can be accomplished a couple of different ways. Some people use the scroll wheel, but I always spun past the one I wanted! I use the 1-5 keys to switch them.

Bets, that's why a Light Fairy will be invaluable down in the Shadow Realm. Nothing is very good against her. I checked the grid in the F1 screen and the ones to avoid are Air, Water, Psi and Metal. Good luck!

EDIT: Forgot your question about the fairy bag, l4l. You will find him in the Fairy Garden past the one guarding the entrance in Endeva. Fight and capture a few fairies there, then go to the next Fairy Garden Screen. There will be a stream there with more fairy fights. He is standing at a small metal gate which leads to the cottage area of the Fairy Garden.

Sorry I didn't have time to explain more but had to get dinner started so had to cut it off. Try hitting F2, then at the top of the screen are little lighter black boxes. Click on each one and see what they have in them. They will take you to different screens. Experiment.

I did read the manual, but the eyes are too old to see some of the print on the illustrations. I'm liking the game though--maybe it will increase my coordination.

I didn't find the manual helped a lot. On some things maybe. See if you can figure out how to fly. That took me awhile. Keep me posted as to where you are at.

Small Stones refers to a spell. Click on E, click on the third tab down on the options on the right (your fairies are on the left). The spells with the round circle and your passive spells. Click on the fourth tab down and those are your active spells. They have squares.

F2 will also take you to your main game screen. The black squares are the different screens such as Save, Spells, Maps etc. F1 will take you to a bunch of screens that explain what everything means. Like Bets says, experiment!

L4L, once you get your Rune of Dunmore, you can buy healing potions and healing herbs and they are a little less expensive there then at Endeva but you have to buy Mana potions at Endeva.

Thanks Bets, the RPG's I've played before have always had mana regenerate by just resting :w)

Once you get your fairies leveled up well, you will get tons of coins, mana and other goodies if you win fights against the wild fairies. The most mana I got was in the Enchanted forest on the way to Tiralin.
