I really liked Penumbra's physics based problems, and exploration method. You don't really have to do "pixel hunts", but instead carefully examine everything, open drawers, and move stuff around. In addition to the physics problems the game has standard item inventory puzzles as well. In the gamespot review it points out that adventure gamers might be shocked at the sometimes straightfoward answers to problems. A door won't open? Try bashing something into it; stuff like that. The story is not bad either, and it tells it through different mediums: computer files, a speaking character, Clarence, etc. I can understand the horror element turning people off though. It is a rather unsettling game. Hopefully someone will make a game with a very similar interface sans the horror elements.

Excellent review L4L! I really enjoyed reading it, more than I suspect I would have playing it. Game overs are not fun.

Thanks for the review L4L. This is a great game with different ways to solve puzzles than a simple point and click. I loved it.

For some reason that had me cracking up!! Wonderful, unique review L4L! I usually skim over reviews and just get to the grade but I thoroughly enjoyed this one!

Thanks Nickie, I did begin to hear "Death is the final adventure" in my dreams Gnabgib, I found the control scheme immersive and yet sometimes, when I had to do the same things over and over, aggravating. But my kids could probably have done much better as they are more coordinated. Thanks Darlene--Let us know how you like it Thanks Action, I was so not kidding about that
