Has anyone even seen the movie BloodRayne? It may not be up in the top but I thought they did a pretty good with story line etc. I thought Kristanna Loken did a decent job of acting but the combat could have been a little more realistic.

nickie, how many different ways of playing did you get. I think there was about 2 or 3 not sure now, too long ago.

Starlite, it has been a while, but when I played it I really worked at trying to get the different endings. I think I wound up being able to see four or five, but I have read that there are seven.

I would like to Baldur's Gate 1 turned into a movie. The plot is very good and well fleshed out, imo.

Planescape: Torment is also a strong candidate,
I might add.

If I were to choose aan FPS game, I would like to se turned into a movie, then it might be
Gears of War, Prey or Lost Planet.

For adventure games, I would like to see Syberia 1, The Longest Journey and Dreamfall, and possibly Barrow Hill and Sceret Files: Tunguska.

Just another quick comment:

All major movies today has a game, too. To draw attention to itself and to sort of stay on the hype both on the film and the movie and possibly the book behind the movie.

I have seen both Tombraider films, and I think that # 2 was the best one of them.

I haven't seen Bloodrayne, Silent Hill, or Resident Evil yet, but I just might to do this someday.

Hitchikers, Blade Runner etc. were books before they game games, and then became movies, although these days, it is impossible to tell if the game is released before the movie or vice versa.

The movie 'the fantastic four' I thought was pretty good, but there was also a game released the same day (or week) for this movie. So I liked the movie very much, but did the game or the movie come first ? (in terms of release?)

Adventure gaming is fun smile

Final Fantasy 10 I think would be one heck of an amazing movie! I would love to watch that!

The game was great, but the movie is just...cult, and unbeatable in terms of anything cyberpunk, I think. lol
Yes, a science fiction story from the late '60's, by Philip K. Dick. Well worth reading.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Deviating from Darkside game talk this is, but speak I must (did you know Yoda was one of my alternate personalities? lol )

As an owner of both the theatrical and director's extended cuts of Blade Runner I must agree with Drizzt's summation of it being unbeatable in terms of "cyberpunk" science fiction.

Anything by Philip K. Dick is well worth reading and should be required in life. I wish I lived near you Drizzt, I'd lend you my copies of his books. Definitely take the time to read his books and look into his history, which is equally...interesting in its own way...

OK, hope I didn't move too close to the realms of a Mixed Bags discussion, I mean I could have advised Drizzt to also pick up some other reading by Philip K. Dick, but I'll refrain from going further away from the subject at hand or intention of this forum by further suggesting that you must read "The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch" or "Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said" or if you enjoy his books you really should pick up some if not everything written my Kurt Vonnegut as well....

No doubt those books would be good games, right? wink I'd like to see more of that, especially Ray Bradbury's.

Good save Nickie lol I agree, those would be great games if done right. Bradbury's would also do very well. Isn't there one based on the Martian Chronicles? I'd love to see "Death is a Lonely Business" as both a movie and a cross-genre game. Oh, if you are interested in Bradbury, he has a sort of "autobiography" out called Bradbury Speaks. It's a collection of essays and such, sound quite interesting. Oops, there I go again whistle

slapforehead You're right of course - there's "The Martian Chronicles", heh. I'd like to see a game of "The Illustrated Man". For Vonnegut, Cat's Cradle.
