Hi Ameno,

In your inventory, double click the Birding on Devon Shores book. Use the magnifying lens to read the book. Now that Poirot knows the procedure, he can start the process. luck

No, never... I'm always here... *cue foreboding organ music*

OK, so what you have to do is: go and talk to Adelaide at the lending library in the village. The library is at the counter on the right hand side. Ask about the book first, and then borrow it. smile

i just started the game and i've finished everything in act two but it will not let me go on to act three... i even looked at a walkthrough to make sure i hav not missed any tiny detail but i've done it all frown does any one have the game saved at the start of act three so i can actually continue the game... I would REALLY appreciate it.... if any one does could you please email it to me. Thank you in advance.

Hi alilhelpplz, I removed your e-mail address from your post for security reasons, as we have a lot of lurkers here. Any mod or member wishing to e-mail you can access your e-mail via your profile. smile

I'll take a look at my saves and see if I can find a saved game close to the beginning of Act 3. wave

Edit: The save's on its way.

I am towards the end of Act 4. I have introduced the dog to the cat, spoken to Col Weston in the police station, cleaned the points on Major Barry's car, dug up the gold darts, opened the secret door and found the secret tunnel under the pub. According to the walkthrough I am supposed to talk to Emily Brewster, the Redferns and Kenneth Marshall but they are not showing up. What should I do?

Hi Benedict,

Check if the car that you fixed is still in the garage. If it is still there, then it is a game glitch and you can't move forward.
You might need to go back to a saved game prior to fixing the car.

Fix the car on your way out of town, and not when you first came in and have not been to town yet.

If the car is not there, then likely you have missed something else you need to do, so I would suggest looking back at the walkthrough and rechecking everything.

luck

sigh... ok I will try one last time. If this still doesn't work I am going to use the Act 4 saved game files that came with the game.
