I love the 2 leading characters, I love the voice-over work, I love the nice touch of the coloured text for the subtitles where different colours are used for the speech of different characters. I love the witty banter between the leads, and witty comments of the male lead, and I love the tricky thing they did with the rubbish heap near Robert's place. I am playing Chapter 2 now. So far I don't think the cutscenes are too long. I think they add depth to the story by showing you things like camera shots of the place and the commuting which you can't see when you are controlling the characters.

Unfortunately there seems to be some bugs with the game. It has freezed on me twice! Once after I pressed the spacebar to reveal the hotspots in the garage with Kat, the game freezed with the hotspots still visible on screen. Another time it freezed in the inventory closeup view of the phone while Jonathan is on the streets outside Robert's place. I could not exit the close up view of the mobile phone. Also, I could not slide open the left and the bottom panel at times, particularly the left panel is more problematic. I hope that they patch the game for the English version soon.

But why? He's seems to be so likeable by the end of chapter 4.

Although he was behaving like a misguided youth at the beginning of the game, I'd like to think that he wisened up because of his encounters and because of his uncle and he would grow to become a better person and a hero with integrity and honour. In some ways Jo is a bit like Gabriel Knight in GK1: Sins of the Fathers. I hope that Artematica realises what a potential hero character they have in Jo and make a better sequel for his character to grow more.
