Here I am again folks lol. This time I'm totally lost in the forest of this game. I've been wandering around for days it seems, can't get out. On the map, could someone please explain if each turn represents one click left or right or up as the case may be? Lots of hair tearing at the moment.

Hi Gwen,

You may possibly need to move more than one click to reach a path junction or turn. Keep an eye out for the helpful markers indicated on the map, such as the ribbon, tree stump, etc. They will help you get your bearings. Once you find a marker you recognise, save your game so you can return to that point again if you get lost. Keep us updated, and luck

Thanks for the reply but if I see that shoe, tree trunk or yellow ribbon again, think this game is going in the bin. Actually managed to take a photograph of a yellow bird last time but then BACK TO THE SHOE. Aaarghhhh.

Hi Gwen,

If you're using the in-game map, try the ones below - they're much easier to follow:

Forest

Birds

Bugs

If I remember correctly, after you make a turn, a short line is 1 click before making another turn. Using that as a guide, you can judge by the length how many clicks to take on a longer line before turning again.

Like Rushes said, be on the lookout for the markers.

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much Jema, have printed out those maps as they seem so much more straightforward than the one in the game itself. I am also marking on the new maps where that rotten shoe and log are, as Rushes said. Hopefully I won't have to yell out for help again (but I wouldn't bet on it lol).

Gwen,

You're very welcome. Without those maps, I would have had a very difficult time getting through those three parts of the game.

One thing to remember, the Bugs Map shows 10 bugs and worms. There are 2 more worms you'll have to find somewhere not in the forest.

Ghost Dogs is one of my favorite Nancy Drew games.

Good luck.

Jema
