I know it's there but haven't been able to figure out how to use it. There is a kerosene lamp at bottom of screen and think that might be it but every time I click on it nothing happens. It appears to be a key ingredient to moving on and especially to catching the boat. Game has been fun and am enjoying so far.

Karen, it's been a long time since I've played this game and I don't have a specific memory of that feature. Is it explained in the game manual?

Hi Karen,

Do you get any kind of active cursor with the lamp? I'm looking at the walkthrough and there's no mention of picking up a lamp before catching the boat.

The examine cursor looks like a magnifying glass. The action icon resembles a spanner, and the pick-up icon is a hand.

A neutral cursor where no action is possible appears as a plus sign.

Hope that helps. wave

New problem. How do I get drake's closet open? There are only 4 places and yes, there are 4 numnber with a prefix of 'R'. Where does the R go and where does it come from? Thought it might come from the name Drake 'R' but too easy. Any ideas?

Have you visited Fetch Rock in 2004 yet? The clue you need for opening the closet can be found in that timezone.
