Hello everyone!
I am looking for games that have the quality of B/Sokal.
I have Syberia 1 and 2, Paradise, and Amerzone, the last one which doesn't want to play on my computer. I have tried Atlantis 2 and Mysterious Journey 2, don't like both of them.
I go for great graphics in adventure games and easy click and play and NO awful intricate puzzles, I just like to cruise along with a good walkthrough! Thanks for your input!!

Keep an eye out for Nikopol, Sokal's new game. There's another thread discussing this pretty exciting game that's coming out soon.

Hank you can try also Sinking Island from the Sokal's series of games. It's not like Syberia (completely different style) but you might like it...

Cheers wave

I can't wait to be able to purchase Sinking Island myself and I had no idea Nikpool was a B. Sokal game! Well, off to put that on my wish list.

Nikopol is a White Birds Productions game (B. Sokal's development company), and he probably had an advisory role, but my impression is that others in the company did the bulk of the designing. You can read an interview with the game designer of Nikopol here. Sounds like a most intriguing game.

Hank, what computer do you have? I bought Amerzone last year and was able to run it on my WinXP-machine just fine; not sure though if I needed to slow the computer down or if I used the compatibility mode or both. But it should work on an XP-machine. It's a wonderful game, beautiful to look at - not especially difficult but beautiful smile

Shiny.

I had the same problem with Amerzone, too. I tried to use the compatability mode among other things but didn't manage it to make it run. I don't know if the company has released a patch. What a pity though and it looked a promising game.

Please post in Glitches if you want to get Amerzone running. I'm sure they can help you.
