I was just wondering whether this title, is first or third person as I haven't heard much from this title. From the screenshots its looks like a first person point and click which I am not fond off.

I may be wrong about this, but I think screenshots often don't show a character because they are designed first by one artist and the characters (sprites) are added later by another artist who specializes in animation, since they have to be able to move after all. This may also account for so many indie games being made in first person rather than third person.
To love is to be happy with!

3rd person. I couldnt get it on amazon online, but I was coming out of hospital following minor surgery wednesday, walked with my wife going to the car past a gamestop (here in NYC midtown),decided to go in...and lo and behold...it was on the shelves!!! I almost fainted. Anyway, beautiful prerendered grfx...but I am amazed that the individual character anmiations are ,I would say 1990-ish! The mouths dont even move in closeups...kind of creepy! Minor point, sure,as the wide-shot scenes are beautiful...but you'd think after all this time and graphical advancements,WHiteBird productions would have spent SOME time with character and facial anmiations. So far,the game is good, lots of detective work which gets somewhat tedious, but the story is interesting, and ,like I said, the environments are wonderfully rendered...if you can get past the sprit-y characters with the non-moving mouths. Almost like they're alien mind-readers! :-)

Why thanks,Becky! Feeling better, but my right eye is still covered over (had minor eye surgery yesterday AM ,a few days after having some tumors removed as well)...not a lot of pain (thanks to modern drugs!),but it's awfully hard to concentrate on my PC seeing out of one eye. Amazing what we take for granted!! Anyway, I finished Dracula 3 before I went in Wednesday morning for tumor surgery. Found Sinking Island in the store,as I said,on the way out of the med center Wednesday...and have been playing it sparingly since. I'm calling it "lip synching island" as the characters gesticulate wierdly and their mouths don't move. They rather remind me of a TV puppet show I watched as a child in the 60s...puppets in some sci-fi setting bouncing up and down on almost visible string...the South park boys made fun of it in their "America" movie. Wish I could get past this!!! Hope you are well, too. Rob in NYC. Just call me "Bluebeard" with the eyepatch. Well,my wife likes it,anyway :-)
