I have ordered from this place several times in the past, and can recommend them as a good source for adventures and RPGs that are not as recent:

CDACCESS

Otherwise, Amazon Marketplace, half.com, and eBay are all good resources, as well. smile

Hi,
CDACCESS also, if you click on the name of the game gives, you an idea if it will play on XP. Also story line and ect. I have gotten older games from them. Amazon sometimes has older games or link to older games. Also Dave at Innteract, has some older ones I got a couple of used ones from him and they work just fine.

Hi Bluto, you might find some at play.com or on Amazon. Also there's the Trading Post here at GB - some members will ship to the UK. A very good source is E-Bay - just take care! smile

I'd offer two more suggestions.

1. http://www.goozex.com - used game trading/selling/buying
2. http://www.gog.com - Good Old Games - DRM-free downloads

With Goozex, I just did a quick search and found 1888 PC adventure titles listed. Now, I doubt that we'd call most of these actually adventure games, but still there's a pretty good bet that the ones you might be interested in will be listed. I got a copy of Divine Divinity through Goozex for $5, for example (not an adventure game, though).

Good Old Games is run by the folks that did The Witcher. You purchase a game and often extras (all downloads) that have no DRM (digital rights management) for a low price, and they all run on XP and Vista. I got a copy of the original Fallout from here, and it runs just fine. They are in a beta period right now, but you can still sign up, I'm pretty sure.

I like the old adventure games but a lot of them don't work on Xp and Vista.
There are a couple of old rpg's that are pretty good if you havn't played them already. They are Darkstone and Dungeon Siege I. They both can be played through your local network with others at your home and they both play fine on XP. I thought Dungeon Siege 1 was much better than DS2 and it comes in a 3 game package. I may be the only one but I thought Ds2 and Never Winter 2 both went down hill compared the the first ones. There are mods for DS1 still avaiible that can change the game to almost any style of playing you like as well. There are also many Mods for Oblivion that make it into a beutiful game as I thought a lot was missing when I played it.
