All the Carol Reed mysteries take place in verdant Spring or Summer days. I wonder if there will ever be an episode in the Autumn or Winter months? I can see where going out in the snow to take thousands of pics would be difficult --perhaps impossible in some places. But night scenes in town around Halloween, Christmas & Hanukkah (when colorful decorations & lights brighten up storefronts, streets, & homes) would give us another lovely view of this area. She doesn't always have to wander through the woods, after all. In a cold-weather adventure, she could stay near well-lit places... spend more time sleuthing at night. Perhaps meet up with 'someone' at the local coffee house?? wink

I think I know why all the Carol Mysteries take place during the Spring or Summer days. It is simply because this is where middle Sweden is most beautiful during the year.

Even though I'm Danish, I know that Michael and Ellen are Swedish. And as such, we don't celebrate Hanukka or Halloween.
(even if toy stores in Denmark have had some success in promoting Halloween in Denmark).

In the middle of Sweden, there is also very much snow, maybe even too much snow and not enough light? for Michael to be taking pictures...

I agree, though, that it could be a welcome change to see Carol Reed solve a Christmas mystery or a mystery in Autumn with all the changing leaves.

Hi Karsten, I think the Autumn (even in the UK!) with all the changing leaves can look quite beautiful if you can forget the weather.

I'm sorry though that I disagree with your thoughts - I think we have plenty of games set in gloomier settings. I always look forward to solving a good mystery on nice sunny days in the Carol Reed Mysteries - over here we haven't had a consistently great summer & I would like to immerse myself in one - albeit - in a game! lol
