Well I heard so much good about the game that I downloaded the demo and playing it until Interact sends me the full version. I am glued to the monitor and really impressed. Level 3 very close I think to level 4.
Is there a key I push to see all the exits?

Also please advise me I am playing the seraphin because I want a tiger like some of you have. What skills should I be building up at the beginning? I have done strength, vitality mainly. I finished the cow quest, highway man quest and the first quest killing the interigators.

This is really a fun game but I really am surprised the icons are so small barely can see what they are in my inventory or is it only that way in the demo?

One thing I do miss though I like to dress up my character. You know actually see them put on the armor and put the sword in the hand. In Witcher do they have this?

Are the inventory items bigger in Witcher or Sacred 2?

What quest do I have to do before I get her a tiger to ride?

I just ordered this from Interact. Thanks who ever responds to these questions. One last question which resolution looks best for the game settings? My eye sight is not that good by the time I get to play the game in late evenings so the bigger the graphics the better. Especially text and inventory items. I have a great video card 8800 GT nivida

Can I please bother you with one more question. I want to save and reload the game but I don't want to come back to Seraphin Monastary. Do I always begin the game there or do they save at the last town you are in?

Next I am downloading the orgional demo of Witcher like Nickie suggested. Oh my I haven't played these games in nearly 8 years and forgot how addicting they are. Move over Nancy Drew I am back! rotfl

Well let's see what I can answer. You can view what there is to view with the map (Tab Key and M key).

The tiger isn't available in the demo and won't be available in the regular game until you get further along in the game and then it is a special quest.

Inventory items are large in Witcher I believe. (They were also larger in Sacred 1 than Sacred 2).

When you save and exit and then start again you always go back to the last resurrection monolith you activated. (There may be only one in the demo I don't remember)

You can change the size of your game screen with the + and - signs. A tech person would have to advise you on screen size cause it's beyond my pay grade.

For skills it's pretty much up to the individual but Strength, dexterity and vitality are always good choice. What you really need with the Seraphim is Radiant Pillar and I also use pelting strikes a lot.

I would also suggest downloading the patches while you're waiting because the game from InteractCD is the UK version.

Hope that answered some of your questions.

Thank you so much Oldman!
Is the better Sacred 1 called Sacred plus? What title do I look for that was the orgional Sacred 1 that doesn't have flaws in it. I can buy Sacred Plus used is why I am asking.

Which Witcher was more fun and better graphics witcher 1 or witcher enhanced? USA version or UK version?

Thanks for all your help. Good chatting with you again, this brings me back to the first game I played after joining Boomers. You helped me with Longest Journey. That will be a year in Nov.

Sacred Plus is Sacred 1 with most of the bugs fixed.

Please ask your Witcher questions on the Witcher thread if you would - it gets confusing to those who look up the topics later.

Why don't we turn this thread into a gameplay thread? We can post our discoveries and help each other out if we don't know how to do certain things in the game world.

smile
Tip 1:
Try using the WSAD keys to move your character and "rotate the game world". This control scheme is not present in Dungeon Siege2 or Titan Quest.

Tip 2:
Don't sell any rune stones. If you find rune stones meant for another character, you can accumulate four and exchange for a rune for your character. If you find additional runes for your own character, you can use them to upgrade the level of your combat arts.

I think using this thread for hints and help is a very good idea. I was thinking about starting a new thread for that purpose myself.

An addition to tip 2: you can also use runes from another character to forge weapons at the blacksmith.

I added a possible spoiler tag to the title. Hope you don't mind, Sherryah!

Last night I did a "wild thing".

idea

I rode my horse across the land, and unlocked three more towns. The enemies could not stop my character.

Griffinborough is a bit similar to Skingrad (Oblivion) but much, much bigger.

Also, there are at least two mini quests dealing with rescuing cats, and two (connected missions) with bears.

Congrats Benedict and thanks for your response. Nope don't mind the spoiler tag Nickie. I have enjoyed the demo for 2 days now. The longest and best demo I have ever played. They let us do lots of quests. I am eagerly awaiting the full version in the mail.

Has anyone noticed the green writing when you first start up the game? I didn't pay attention the first few times but they have some humorous remarks and they are different each time you start the game.

There are 2 BIG secrets in Sacred 2.

1. Rock concert
NE of Thylisium is a village, almost equidistant from Dragonpass Maw. There is a heavy metal band, Blind Guardian, who has run into a bit of trouble. Do a series of quests to unlock the concert mtv and the rock song in the main menu. This is probably the best easter egg in a PC game.

2. Unique mount for your character
Want to acquire the tiger for your Seraphim? In one of the towns in the NW(?) you will not miss the sight of a quest giver NPC in the street, bathed in a column of yellow light from the heavens who will start you on a quest to an island. To get to this island you need to unlock ship travel in one of port towns such as Tnylysium.

Hi Benedict,
I placed my order for Sacred 2 and Witcher enhanced UK version and they should be here next week. Thanks for posting the big secrets and I look forward to playing the game with you and learning more.

Right now I am just playing the Sacred 2 demo and finishing the last few quests. Can you or anyone tell me in the navigation map quest I got the map and rescued the 2 soldiers and trying to find the gal
lieutenet that gave me the quest. Do you remember what town she is close to? I remember finding her accidently. Thanks to whoever responds to this question.

Looking forward to both riding that tiger and also the easter egg you mentioned. You know I just thought of something doesn't the seraphin ever get to fly? I mean we do have wings after all.

Sherryah
EDIT......................
Yes Oldman I did notice the green typing before Sacred 2 demo starts up it has the same thing. One time it said "putting the coffee on" It never says the same thing. What do you think that screen is for?

Thanks Ana

Oldman I have found the answer to our question about the green typing on the start up screen in Sacred 2.

The silly message is a line of text that appears when the game is loading and which changes to display one of a number of random messages that the game designers have chosen. Silly messages have so far referred to such things as quotes from movies, TV shows, and some others which are thought up to be unique messages. The Silly Messages were released in two batches, pre-plus and after plus. The messages before plus were decidedly more racy and had even, in some cases, incited reaction from players during the game's early time just after it's release, when Sacred was still undergoing a number of changes and massive patches. Silly messages afer plus, were less edgy and, perhaps sadly, tamer. The entire list of Silly Messages is currently unknown.

Hi Sherryah

The logbook and navigation map integration is buggy so you will cannot depend on the navigation map alone to find your next quest target. Go back to the logbook, look for that quest you were doing and click on that quest. Then exit the logbook, call up the map using tab and look for the grey circle. If the grey circle is not in the proximity, call up the big map and look for it. In most cases, the grey circle for the next quest stage can always be found, unless your quest is broken due to glitches.

Well my Seraphim is at level 32 now and I am in Chapter VIII. From Chapter V on the monsters respawn like crazy and it's a LOT of fighting. crazy mad (I gauge it more like Sacred Underworld than the original Sacred.)

I had to give up on the Seraphim quests (that are indicated by blue markers). I got about four of them done I think and then found a dungeon I was supposed to go in that I couldn't open. I kept clicking on it and nothing happened. hardwall I don't know if I was supposed to do something first or have a key or what but I couldn't get in. If any one runs across it it is Children and Demons III.

Oh, I changed my tiger to a white tiger also. Just though I'd try some variety. lol razz

Hi oldman

I will not be able to make it as far as you until I get a new computer. Level 24 now and I already feel overwhelmed by the hordes of enemies. The situation you have described seems like my character will be up to armpits in kobolds or other enemies. At present my computer is already struggling to cope with rendering crowds of people in Griffinborough.

Sorry about your troubles Benedict. My computer is pretty well top of the line for specs and I haven't had a crash at all since installing the latest patch. A couple of irritating problems with my character getting stuck and not being able to move when going to a dungeon but I saved and came back to the same place and entered with no problems.

I've actually finished my Seraphim and I'm not happy with the ending.
Click to reveal..
There are 3 ending bosses called Guardians and you have to beat all three to shut down the machine and they are pretty much immune to everything. I finally gave up and used a cheat to make my character invincible and just pounded away but I could not have finished without a cheat. Maybe you are supposed to do more side quests and get your character stronger I don't know. My Seraphim was at level 33

I'm doing the Inquisitor now. He is dark and the Saraphim is light so there are different quests for sure. I'm curious to see how he looks on his spider.

I don't like this one as good as Sacred Plus. When they finally got Sacred right and debugged it I thought it was one of the better RPG's to come along.

I don't think this sequel lives up to the original. They dropped several things that were a plus in Sacred.
Just to name a few:
The Save system (In the original of course you could save anywhere anytime)

Importing and saving characters (To me, that was a big plus in the original that they left out of this one)

The icons on the map (Sacred 2 is somewhat of a mess with large circles all over the map and after getting all the side quests you can't even locate half of them)

All in all I much prefer the system they had in the original to this one.

But it's better than a kick in the ..............................head

And, I do like my tiger.rotfl

Hi Oldman,

What are the cheats for this game and how to activate them?

I am going to lower the graphics settings and play this game a little bit more if it is more stable that way.

God Mode
Locate the file balance.txt in your install\scripts\server folder and change to:

Enemy_weapondamage = {0,0,0,0,0},
Enemy_spelldamage = {0,0,0,0,0},

I back up the server folder and use one for GodMode and the original to revert back.

Hi all,

A little update on the game. To kind of offset the negatives there is, what I consider, a big positive in playing the game. I'm now playing as an Inquisitor and it is a totally different game than the Seraphim. I don't know if this will apply to all of the characters and maybe it is because Seraphim is light and Inquisitor is dark but the quests are different for each of the characters so it's like playing two different games in the same environment.

Still enjoying it despite some of the negatives and will probably try out most of the characters and then I will have had enough of a breather to return to Witcher. (I'll definitely be back for at least one more round)

Here are a couple of pictures of my Inquisitor on his spider.

That spider is awesome! Can the mounts die? That always bothered me. I'll be interested to hear if the other characters give you a very different story line as well.
