Thanks LindaMarion - I was very impressed with the game so it was nice to see that the reviewers agreed.

I was surprised though by this quote from Alexander Tait referring to the voice actors:

"It’s obvious that our heroine is not English-just listen to the incorrect emphasis on certain words and agrammatical production of her first line."

Carol's english accent sounds quite genuine & is typical of a dialect spoken in an area of England - I can't quite pinpoint where but possibly the Midlands or further North. But as it's so subtle it would be very difficult do without over-emphasis if you hadn't spent considerable time in the area! smile

Interesting guesses...

The girl voicing Carol is from Sweden, but has been living in Nottingham for 7 years.

Thanks for the info Mikael!

That's interesting as Nottingham is part of the Midlands. As far as the JA reviewer goes there is not a hint of 'Swedish' in Carol's accent & he's obviously unfamiliar with the nuances in patterns of speech of various english dialects!

The main thing is that Carol sounds genuinely english thumbsup - even if it is only to a person from England lol
