Maybe I was just in the mood for it, but I thought this was one of the best games I've ever played.

Did anyone else enjoy Overclocked or was it just me? Wow... what a game.

For what it's worth the game played without issue under Vista SP1.

I thought it was a really good game, well put together with a great story line.

I enjoyed the game throughly and would like to see more of this type.

I loved overclocked. I enjoyed its free flowing feel and thought provoking story. I hope we see more of this type of game provided timed sequences do not play a crucial part, or if present can be overruled by player if desired.

I am in the middle of the game, I like the story but I think I could never play it without a walkthrough. And i got a bit annoyed with
Click to reveal..
replaying recorded conversations to the patients, i never know which one to play

House of Tales make great games, and Martin Ganteföhr is a very talented narrator. So far, I enjoyed all his games; Overclocked probably even more than Moment of Silence or Mystery of the Druids because the topic was just so different from everything else. And there was no nasty final puzzle wink Currently, House of Tales are working on a new game but they just won't tell what it will be about. I guess we'll just have to wait smile

Loved the game, even though it was rather short! Keep them coming, Martin!

Me too, I was so engrossed in the story that I didn't like puzzles intervening, so played most of it re. MaG's excellent walkthrough!

Got to say, I thought it was too repetitive in the middle parts.
Intriguing though.

The game is called "15 Days".
Preview for those who understand German.

Main protagonist is 30 y.o. Cathryn Hope. She and her friends Mike and Bernard steal art, but not for a living. Everything they sell is donated to organisations for developing countries and anti-globalists. You also get to play the role of Jack Stern, who is at first investigating the mysterious death of a British politician, but discovers something about an art theft in South Africa relating to that death. Our three main protagonists are behind that theft alright, but they don't know anything about the death, so they try to keep out of Jack's hands. From the article it seems there will be some timed sequences, as Martin Ganteföhr says he wants us (the players) to feel under pressure and having not enough time to do everything at a leisurely pace. Ofcourse, the focus remains on the story and the psychological development of the characters. The way an ideology can motivate people, even if it means they stray off the righteous path is what he wants to bring across.

I really enjoyed Overclocked, it took me a while to get into it but then I didn't want to stop, I look forward to a new game, but worry about the 'pressure' bit, however I'm sure I won't be able to resist.

I don't know why they can't leave it up to the gamer whether they want the "pressure" or not. Maybe an option for timed or untimed when you install the game, as many hidden object games have. I certainly don't play games because I want more time pressure in my life. I've already got all I can take.

It's not like a well told story can't build up suspense. It's done all the time in movies and books.
Time pressure in a game actually has the opposite effect on me because every time I "fail" it reminds me I'm only playing a game -- sometimes several times in a row (or until I quit in disgust). Suspense is not the same as aggravation, and certainly not the same as boredom at having to repeat things over and over.

I know not everyone agrees, but why not let the gamer select which way works best for them?
