What would be a really good first adventure game for an older person. Of course, it should have a walkthrough and be point and click.

Any suggestions?

Keepsake.
It has an excellent tutorial and a built in sequential hint system. Not to mention the outstanding graphics.

How about one of the Monkey Island games? They are good puzzle games with a lot of humor and they are not too tough which might be good for a first time gamer.

It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.

The Colour of Murder has a built-in hint notebook... you probably wouldn't need a walkthrough. Plus, it's point-and-click. I'd recommend this game (as well as the other titles from this series). catrub

Make sure the person doesn't mind hearing the F-word before giving them The Longest Journey.

Syberia 1 and 2 would be good, and the person might also enjoy Sokal's earlier game, Amerzone.

You might also consider something like Dream Chronicles.

The Awakening may be a bit much for a new gamer. The puzzles are harder and the game is a bit gruesome for an older person who is not a gamer.

Try Tunguska or The Moment of Silence (I'll second all the Syberia recommendations - great set of first time adventures.

And also Echo - The Lost Cavern. A unique game in my opinion but not too hard.

I guess I'll go with Syberia 1. I would have gone with Broken Sword-Circle of Blood but I couldn't find out if it would play on Vista.

Thanks for all the help
