Hi!
Does anyone know if there is walkthrough started yet for this game? I have the game but have not started playing yet as I am waiting for a walkthrough.
Thanks for any information you can give me.
Carol

mAMMU,

I don't see any walktrhoughs available yet on line, nor any strategy guides, there is something to consider about using either with this particular game though...

I just started playing this one and Storm of Zehir is exactly what the developers say it is. To quote the manual (which I did more fully here ) :

Quote:
...What you are about to play might not be the game you’re expecting....

The game is more along the lines of the older RPG's and allows you to not only build your own party from the ground up, it also gives you more freedom of play. While most RPG's that use the D&D rulesets have the computer as the DM in the background, as I mention in my earlier post the "computer as Dungeon Master" feels much more prevalent here than in past games. While a walkthrough may help with certain specific quest oriented difficulties, following one too closely will in a way defeat the purpose of this particular game's design, which is to give back to the player more freedom in the gaming world.

While not the perfect substitute for a walkthrough the manual does provide some good information to begin with and the folks over at Bioware's NWN2: Storm of Zehir forums are a friendly crowd that can help out as the need arises as well if you want to jump in before a walkthrough is published. smile

EDIT: One other thing I think I should mention that I didn't in my ealier post is that this is not a direct continuation of the last expansion. There are some references to it, but it is a game all it's own.

HI smile

The game, Storm of Zehir, is as you probably know, an expansion pack, for NWN2. As you also know it has just been released; this means that there is no walkthrough availabe - yet. I support Trail's remarks about asking in the friendly forums over at Bioware http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewforum.html?forum=128 - we're really helpfull smile and don't bite --- too much wink

There's also a new feature in Storm of Zehir called the overland map where you actually just walk around exploring...the areas. You're more than welcome to just walk around and see what you can see... but beware...here be...dra---ehm- monsters...

More info on the Bioware boards for nw2: storm of zehir..

Adventure gaming is fun smile

Ahhhhhhhhhh! Monsters! scared
lol

It took me a little while to get used to the new interface. I was expecting something along the lines of the last expansion so I felt a little disappointed at first, but I've grown to enjoy it as I've played. It takes me back to the old days when some friends put together a big D&D battle ground game area on a 4'x8' foot piece of plywood and mounted it to folding ping-pong table frame. Since I don't have the room to build something that cool again, Storm of Zehir will do nicely grin
