First of all, MaG, I posted a thank you for the saved game, but somehow it didn't show up. So, thank you. However - am now at the part trying to decode the wheel. The w/t says to "click the up arrow under the letter and symbol to insert it on chart (to be formed) at right. I don't see an up arrow. There is only one wheel (that I can see) that revolves. I can't get anything to happen. Please help, again. Thanks.

Is your cursor a double arrow when it is inside the wheel?

Yes. I get the part about matching the symbols, but don't get how to have the letters show up in the right column.

You place the double arrow under the top letters (below the Celtic letter) as shown by the picture above and then you double click.

I answered wrong before about the double arrow (didn't, duh, look at the picture thoroughly). I placed the compass in the circle to complete it and don't seem able to take it out again, and don't see a double arrow. Shouldn't the compass be there? Thanks.

Before you do this puzzle - do you have:
Philibert's notes.
See the copied words from the stone wall.
See the inscription of Philibert's stone at top left of the left page.

Have you used the quill on the alphabet of Philibert's stone to get TOMBE that was found in the back of that stone?

As for the compass - have you used it to make 2 rings? Maybe you need to use it again just like the picture.

I have all those things and used the quill. I see two rings, inner and outer. I am confused though that your picture shows no compass and I can't remove mine. I'll try again and see what happens. Thanks.

Went back and discovered I did need to draw another circle. I've gotten all of the alphabet. However, how do I translate the quatrains? She doesn't say anything and, when talking to her father, says she needs to translate them and they are also on her "to do" list.

If you have done the alphabets correctly and the column on the right page is filled up, the quatrain will be translated automatically.

Recheck the alphabets are completely filled even the W and X.

HeavenlyJoy: Seems we both have insomnia today? In the blacksmith's shop, facing north, on the left wall with a piece of cloth hanging on a hook, next to it is the rope. Hope this helps.

Thanks Laurette, I looked there and its not there any more,
I worry maybe I used it some other way or something??
I realized I needed something like a rope or ladder, so
after looking lots... I saw the walkthrough pointed it out,...
do I need to find the other books first?
I got the hole ready, but not sure why the rope isnt there?
thanks again smile
you playing this game too?? its been so fun.. really like the puzzles in this one smile

Marcia: I did use a rope (don't know where I got it) before to lift up the broken parts where the books are, but did find another one in the blacksmith's shop. I wish I could help with findng the books; whenever I get stuck I refer to a w/t. Hopefully, somebody will be able to help you with this game. Sorry I can't. (maybe I should get some sleep?)

MaG: I again checked to see if all letters were filled in - they were. I followed the process for the w and the x (I get just a "-" symbol for both. It still isn't translated. I'm sorry if I'm getting annoying, but don't know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks, again.

HELP please!

I'm playing Nostradamus and I am missing a rope to enter the hole/tunnel (like so many others here). I have 194 points right now and I can't get any further.

Can someone PLEASE send me a savegame to get around the rope bug? A savegame with a rope in inventory or hanging in the chandelier, that is. I'd be forever grateful.

/Sven in Malmö, Sweden

Sven, its not a good idea to post your email address. There are a lot of spammers out there just looking for things like this. I would suggest you edit your post and remove it.
