Part of the game is finding hidden objects; another part has you finding the differences between two pictures. Lots of fun so far. Check it out:

Paparazzi

I think anyone who likes the Huntsville games will like this one, too. wave

Hi Marian, after seeing your thread I tried the demo & just had to get the rest of it!! Just finished - an abrupt ending but a lot of fun.

I would agree - if you like the Huntsville series you would probably enjoy this but it is a little simpler, the detail is not quite so good & it is not so easy to see where things are!

But each section is only 15 mins long, if you have to replay it the object list may slightly change but only by a few items.

You make money everytime you find something & can then buy hints to find where things are - so you can let the time run down & replay the section knowing where everything is!!

Once you have found all the objects, as Marian has mentioned, you get a 'spot the difference' - and make money for every difference you identify.

After that (you are out to get a story!) you get 6 opportunities to catch & photograph the particular person etc that you are 'investigating' in each section. The object is to get enough photos to get on the front page of the newspaper & you get paid. As you make more money the hints get more expensive.

It is a very lighthearted puzzle game pulled together by a bit of a story thread!

Hi Chrissie,

That was a great summation of the game! I agree with you that some of the items were hard to see; I was attributing my difficulty to poor eyesight. Glad to know it wasn't just me.

A fun little game, though, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. thumbsup

I found a lot of the items were downright impossible to see. I also had a few glitches in the "find the difference" pictures. The game has potential but it needs a little polish to stand up to the Mystery Case Files.

Hi Ana, I completely agree with you - in a lot of locations I had to use the hint system to find out where things were - in quite a few cases there was no way of spotting them otherwise.
Also on the spot the difference - I saw the changes but either got no response when I clicked on them or lost points for inaccuracy - I did find if you moved the cursor around you could eventually get a response but it was a bit hit & miss!

In contrast the Mystery Case Files seem to have almost perfected the idea!

Chrissie, I still remember the salt shaker in the construction site. laugh

I hope they do make another one and I would buy it since it only costs me 6.99, but I do hope they fix their errors. I wish the Mystery Case Files would have the Spot the errors also, because I really enjoyed that.

Hi Ana, the salt shaker was strongly in my mind when I posted! along with the spiders web, bubble & hammer to name a few! I really liked the spot the difference too but I never found all of them in any scene - the glitches didn't help too much - but I also suspect that, if they were in keeping with the game, some of them were impossible to see also! smile

I agree. The game has potential but it is ridiculous that you cannot see the items clearly enough. Point-in-case being the shoe in the glass. Just can't see.

Pity since the game has a nice twist to it by finding things with a camera.

Does anyone have a walkthrough for this game? I already cannot find several objects in the second mission with bigfoot! And how do I access the hints? There does not seem to be any button to click on the menu bar

Hi Benedict, you have to buy hints by clicking on the icon of the person top left of screen! If no-one can give you a link to a walkthrough please post back with what you can't find in what location - I'll try & help! smile

I found out how to "buy" hints from the informant. But they are cutthroats! The costs of each hint keeps going up. The problem is that the objects in the pictures are very difficult to see! In one game, I actually exhausted all the money that I have to buy hints, and the informant says that he cannot provide the hint. Its a good thing the game restarts itself for that particular case when I quit and come back to it, so I can try to memorise where the objects are when the hints are offered. This is probably the hardest HOG I have encountered. Madame Fate is difficult because the puzzles are hard, but at least the hidden objects are clearly drawn most of the time.

Also, in Paparazzi's spot the difference mini game, it often happens that the game deducts my accuracy bonus, even if I click on the right spot!

I'm glad you managed to work something out Benedict! It was one of the first HOGs I ever played & it just appealed to me. I agree that it was 'innaccurate' on the accuracy bonuses for the spot the differences but I liked the snapshot idea. Are there any similar games? smile

Hi chrissie,

Two casual games that I know of that involve taking snapshots are Snapshot Adventures Secret of Bird Island, and Tropical Dream Underwater Odyssey. wave

You're welcome! smile I like them both; mind you, neither one of them are strictly hidden object games, but they are good games nevertheless. wave

Hi, Marian

I wasn't to keen on this one...I didn't like the fact after you take a pic of the object it remains on the screen smirk

Thanks for the game info tho. kissy

Thanks again Marian, I got around to downloading both demos! Snapshot Adventures Secret of Bird Island - I can see the appeal but I just found it far too repetitive & didn't bother finishing the demo - it just wasn't for me! Tropical Dream Underwater Odyssey was far more interesting & I did finish the demo - I'm not sure I want to buy an extra credit at the mo to play the entire game but I was engaged by it as far as I got so may play the rest of it in the future! smile

I'm glad you had time to check them out! Tropical Dreams is on my "might purchase later on" list, too.
