Hey Pokey - I didn't know you could kill a troll with a sword - I'll have to try that next time.

Hugh, you will need another shrink monster scroll, & Pokey is right - Xardas has one.
i don't know why it's so hard to make this work, but I've had the same problem several times. Save just before trying & if it doesn't work, keep trying. it should work eventually. good luck.

I actually had gone to this little cave entrance nearby and he followed me. He couldn't fit inside so I kept whacking at him and eventually he died. I think he did manage to hit me once or twice which I think hurt really bad but I had food and all.

I stopped playin for a long time. I'm back on playin but I have to go to that village of orcs. I can't seem to find it. I finally have the ulu mullu. Does anyone know the way to this friendly orc who I read is somewhere at some bridge?

Hugh, have you found him yet? The Orc village should be marked on one of the maps that Anne linked to, and the friendly orc, you should find somewhere between Xarda's tower and that Orc village.

Don't give up on the game now, you are getting quite close to the ending now, and doing that Ulu-mulu thing, is quite fun. smile

I loved Gothic 2, but couldn't really play Gothic 3; it just didn't run well on my computer. I now have a souped-up laptop that might be able to run that game, and I certainly intend to try it (it's a Vista machine of course, but so far so good with the games I've tried).

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I've played all the Gothic games. Gothic 2 was my favorite but I liked Gothic 3 as well. I am playing Forsaken Gods now. It is not up to the quality of the other games, but will do as filler till Gothic 4 comes out.

Is a Gothic 4 in the works, Pokey? Yay!I loved all the Gothics - 2 is my favorite. What kind of game is Forsaken Gods?

Barb, yes it is in the works, but by a different developer. It is called Arcania and hopefully will be released in the winter of 2009. Forsaken Gods is supposed to carry the story forward from Gothic 3 to Gothic 4. It covers much of the same landscape as Gothic 3 but with a new main story quest plus many other quests.

I'd better load up Gothic 3 and play it if number 4 is on the way. Hmm. Wonder if it will work on the new laptop?

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
