You do not need to have played the first one first

They both are great and play similarly, They have different stories and the second one has slightly better graphics and hint system.
Both are excellent and I am sure you will enjoy the game.

Another trick is if you run out of hints at a vital point, just log out of the game to the main menu and when you click play again, you will notice that you have been rewarded 3 more hints.

Rachel, does that suggest the game is only 4 hours long? Although I'm enjoying the demo very much (about half an hour in), I was hoping the full game would be longer than the original, which took me about 6 hours (I'm quite slow). The graphic flourishes on this one are very nice, and I'm looking forward to playing the full version with my Grandson, who is more eagle-eyed than me.

Rachel D, That might be a way to get a game for free but not a very good way of supporting other future games or the developers who worked hard to make the game. They did a great job and put a lot of work into it.
Sorry, I know it is not my place to judge anyone that misuses a system but I feel strongly about supporting the developers that work hard to make us theses great games.

yes it pretty much does limit it to 4 hours. Yo might want to try the method I suggested before puttin down hard earned cash

Rachel, your method of scamming a game for free may be "legal" but ethically is no different then downloading from a site with pirated games and playing for free. The game was obviously good enough to play, therefore you need to pay them for the hours of entertainment you got out of it.

The game developer spent many man hours to develop the game and deserves to be paid for it. This site does not support your actions and I have edited your post.

Good for you, Tigre: I had that same reaction to "scamming" but, being new to the site, I wasn't sure how best to speak to it. I quite agree. The new Samantha is a beautiful and well-developed game that deserves reimbursement. Why bend ethical rules when the game can be purchased for as little as $6.99 from Big Fish.

It was this Casual Game forum that led me to discover Big Fish and many of their delightful games. Although typically a bit shy, I finally felt I'd like to be more participating in your community.

I'm having a problem with the knots... I am following the directions in the walkthrough, but it won't work. I did it several times. Could there be a number missing?

I got it! In case anyone else has the problem... I tried the Gamezebo directions and got it. The ones on Big Fish didn't work. It may be because there are more than one puzzle and solution so if one doesn't work for you try the other wt.

There is also a third solution suggestion but I wanted to solve it the long way.

Oh no, I'm stuuuck...got part of the raft together then was "told" to go back to the library but had to much in my inventory; now can't get back out to the raft to use some of the items I didn't notice I had.

Thanks L4L, I tried but it said I needed to use tools in the inventory, which was all the raft building items, even though I'd already built part of the raft which should have opened up inventory slots.
Decided to restart the game and made it through. A great game.

I'm stuck,( the second time in this screeme) I'm in the observatory and have no more place in my inventory and the walkthrough says that I can use tha tapes on the mashine bu when I do it it says use this tool here later.
