Hi!

I decided to try the free download to see if I liked playing Casual Games. However, I apparently don't "get them" because I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do. In Adventure Games, you can search and click on things, pick them up, and they will go into your inventory. In this game, and another one I tried,I clicked and something happened but I couldn't find it. My inventory showed that I had 0 items. I could see a lot of things on the screen thatI thought I should click on but I couldn't. The Help Icon wasn't much help. In both games, I couldn't get beyond the first screen. Is there some trick to these Casual Games that I should know?

Thanks for this link. I have tried to click on several areas that this screen shows, but nothing happens.It wouldn't allow me to click on it. I think that I must be in a gamers hell because things that are supposed to work,and do work, for other gamers, won't work for me. It is probably "User error" but I am still stuck.

Wow-Thanks! I clicked on many of these same spots but maybe I didn't wait long enough for things to register or load. I couldn't get anywhere in the games. These Casual Games seem a little bit clunky to me but maybe I am not doing them correctly(very possible)!

I have played the game all night long and am at the place where you enter the telephone number which I got when the paper fell down. The problem is there is no dial tone. I have followed the walkthrough and done everything as suggested. Does anyone have an idea why there is no dial tone. Help please....and thanks in advance.

You need to use the phone with the bugs all around it. Is that the one you are at? The game is not linear and you need to do lots in other areas in order to trigger things in other places.

Thanks so much for the reply, BrownEyedTigre. I found all the old posts on Return to Ravenhearst when it first came out and was able to get to the very end but am missing two hearts. I will keep looking but it seems I have been to every site in the incredible game. For the first time ever I stayed up all night as I could not stop playing it. Your help got me back to the game and I did not give up. Return to Ravenhearst have got to be one of the best casual games ever made. What a masterpiece!

I am really glad you are enjoying it. There is a map somewhere, let me know if you need it. I'll go look if I can find it. You are problem just missing a room or two to collect your hearts.

I really like this game, but those #@!^%$ trolls are getting to me, so far my best score is only 45, grrrrrrhhh!!

Are you making sure to only hit the one color?

Finally beat it, ok to hit green and lavender, red takes points away. Hah, had to drink an adult red beverage first though.

Thanks for the link to Gamezebo. I wasn't familiar with it and it is a great site! It seems to be very detailed for this game.
Are most of the Casual Games played in 1st person? I usually don't like those but have played a few that didn't make me dizzy. I like interacting with other characters in games. This one,so far, doesn't seem like it will make my head swim but I am just playing the free trial.

Their really shouldn't be any dizziness in 99.9% of all casual games because they aren't 3D. They are not games for interacting with other characters really. Usually any interactions are in cutscenes.

Help did I mess up?

There is no messing up hawka. YOu can back to any area. The game is not linear and if you are trying to play by the walkthrough, don't. Some folks got things at different times then others. If it's an item you need, you will get it when it's time. Just go where you can for now and things will open up as you trigger them.

I am still wandering around, but don't see anyway back into the attic unless I get caught. I am not playing by the walkthrough, I just look now and then to see the puzzles that are giving me trouble. I just go where I can but obviously manage to miss some sparkly areas, sigh!!!

I was able to go back and place the two objects I had in inventory but no way back to the attic so I guess it isn't vital to finishing the game. I am now losing my hair fussing with the numbers on the final puzzle. I think this game deserves a replay, if I get through this time, then I promise to try all puzzles on my own

Edit here: I finally got it and finished the game, a great game and the best $2.99 I ever spent.

I just barely got started on the game (Return to Ravenhurst) and am stuck already. How do I get over to the castle on the cliff? I feel so stupid but have tried everything. OH PLEASE HELP!!!

You can't get there until much later in the game. I restarted and still in the house, just got down into the basement. I am trying to do it when it is still fresh in my mind.

Dorothy, there really is no point to get stuck. You will come across lots of things you can't do anything with till later and you'll need things you won't find till later. Just go along for the ride and wander to all the rooms you can and then wander through again. Eventually, you'll have pieced it all together in a very enjoyable way.

As you told me Ana, the game won't let you go where you can't go. But you can't go back to the attic, it just seems that everything in there does not have to be done to proceed. I am downloading it onto my laptop right now, maybe it will make it easier to spot items. Not sure about the peacock puzzle, I still don't understand that one,
