I am preparing to ride for the first time. I have gone back over everything I was supposed to do and I have done everything. But I can't take the saddle and gloves from Bob's post. I have read the books, looked all all the posters got the hat but can't take the saddle. Please help.

Do you have the canteen of water? Have you spoken to Tex about everything? Have you completed all the chores that Shorty asked you to do - picking vegetables, collecting eggs, and building a fire with a bucket of water beside?

Do I have to pass the barrel riding first then go to the lassoing? Let me repeat, can I get the lariet without doing the barrel riding?: Thanks

I think you can do them in the order you choose, and that you have to do both for Tex to give you the lariat - but try the lassoing first and see what happens. If Nancy doesn't mention the lariat then you know you have to do the barrel racing too.

Thanks Rushes for the info. I tried. You are right, you have to do both. Can you send a save for the barrel racing. I am having the hardest time getting 9.5 or lower. Thanks so much.

Thanks, I finally got it. I couldn't see the some of the names on the posts very well and I was at the wrong post. So I have done the riding to Mary and am moving on. Probably will need more help later.
