Okay, thankyou Kate Anne, we will just have to wait then. They say patience is a virtue. Annd... I think I have to wait till payday before I can buy anymore anyway... but I really want to know badly what the game for today is......

I believe it's
"G.H.O.S.T Chronicles: Phantom of the Renaissance Faire"
the one in a thread just below yours.
I was there earlier.

Thankyou Margie B and Loony4labs, I will try it but the last Nancy Drew I tried included housework and TM type kitchen chores. ND The White Wolf of Icicle Creek, loved it up until that, are they all like that? I bought the game from Amazon and it sits on the shelf, I suppose I aught to sell it for a couple of £. I tried the Capu Cave one which I thought might be good but the computer froze on that one. Not sure if it was this PC or my laptop.
I love GHOST Chronicles-renaissance faire, Finnished it and starting again.

Big trouble.
The largest data center in Seattle Fisher Plaza had a large fire.

The equipment on our floor is safe but power is out to the whloe building.

The building is under several feet of water and they will not tell us when it will restore power. We are in process of transferring all our data to our backup datacenter, but that is a 12 to 18 hour process as we have thousands of servers and massive databases of info to transfer.

Fisher plaza is the hosting facility for hundreds of companies, so this is a major Internet disruption.

Please be patient.

Thank you, BFG-guy for the update.

Hope that you have all good possible outcome, the backup goes smoothly and that you don't need a sedative.

You have a great team to work on the problem.

Take care.

Whoa. Hey, BFG, good luck and thanks for the heads up!

Semi-relatedly, and bringing work stuff into Gameboomers, but I wonder if that's why Verizon seems to be down for our office and many of our customers (we do network support outsourcing). Dang. And I'm on call, too. smirk

If you "titter" for #fisherfire you can see a new update every 10 seconds or so.
Estimates are 1000 sites, 2 radio stations and a TV station were knocked out with this fire.

WE are in the process of moving to our backup datacenter. This will not be quick or easy. FIsher expects to be down another 12 to 24 hours, but we shoudl be back up before them.

I would like to add my thanks for taking the time to post and let us know what is happening BFGuy. Hopefully no one was hurt--material things can always be replaced, human life can't.
