Given the long interim between games, was it difficult to link the last game with the new episodes?

Mark Darin: We purposely put a few years time between the setting of the last game and the new Tales of Monkey Island. This allowed us to start Guybrush on a whole new adventure, completely separated from the events of the last game. We start the new game with the assumption that Guybrush and Elaine have spent the last several years having all sorts of high seas adventures!
