I may have a go at that cliff racer mod. I forgot how those things seem to multiply exponentially as your character raises in level. Combine those with the beasties that also seem to have paid a visit to a fertility clinic and I run out of arrows really fast on even short jaunts.

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=24 That is the mod I'm using, Trail. I especially like it because it doesn't take away any of the beasts completely. They just don't attack, but if you like using cliffracers , rats etc, for grinding, you still can! Of course, once you do attack them, they will become aggresive and attack back, but its nice to have the choice!

Next time I'm also going to look for a Nix on Nix-Hound mod, too.
Moondancer, an Absorb Health weapon is a wonderful thing. This is the first game in which I've traded in my trusty Deadric Longsword, Eat This, for a Bound weapon.
I have slightly better night vision now, thanks to my enchanted gloves, called The Left Hand of Darkness and The Right Hand of Light. Now I can explore at night.

Mad---I'm with you! I'm still such a newbie to Morrowind I don't know anything about enchanting weapons or things like that. I do enjoy my flying (along with Hagatha!) and am slowly learning things as I go though, so I guess I'm enjoying myself in MY own little way as well! So glad you all are here, Cat

Mad and Catbelly, once you get the hang of Enchanting you'll come up with all sorts of naughty ideas. Moondancer, I've tried making Speed items in previous games, but you just can't beat that 200 increase in Speed -- you can't even get close. I'd like to meet the Enchanter who made all those "impossible" artifacts; the Boots, the Cuirass, Trebonius' amulet, and so on. I have some ideas for them... I do have my Magica Resistance pants and they work just fine on those occasions when I really must use the Booties, mostly when I need to go from A to B and don't feel like making any detours into Shrines or caverns. I particularly enojy having a trail of enemies desperately trying to follow as I shoot along the highways and byways. I have an cherished image of a Golden Saint, normally so regal and proud, staggering to a halt after a fruitless chase, sweaty and swearing and struggling for breath. Has anyone else come to the conclusion that Molag Mar is the armpit of Vardenfall? There's only one boat that goes there, and that's from Hla Oad, and you'd have to be pretty desperate to want to go THERE, in the first place. I wanted to get to Azura's Shrine via Molag Mar from Sadrith Mora, and I had to go all the way around the top and down the other side. Every now and then I end up going there by mistake by using Almsivi Intervention, and it's like ending up in a dark hole. You can't get there from here, and once you're there, good luck getting out, Charlie. You can take the Strider to Suran, I think, but that's about it.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Yes, Molag Mar does seem like an after-thought by House Redoran. I'm guessing the back story would be some Redoran noble got the land cheap and they decided to place an out post there to keep up with the godless Telvanni . It almost seems like they tried to do some sort of dedication to Vivec and then stopped 3/4's of the way through it. The result was it ending up like some back water old west town rather than a formal Canton.

Yup, even the basement of Molag Mar holds little interest.
Boy am I up late tonight. I was just about to shut down my computer when a pop-up message appeared on my screen, allegedly from Windows Anti-something, urging me to immediately download their malware product -- an obvious scam, laughably badly written, but I had a tough time getting that pop-up window to go away, akin to scraping warm gum off a shoe on a hot summer day, so I'm running my Norton, and have to wait till it's done.
My Telvanni stronghold is done! Yay! Now I never, ever, need to go there again unless I have an irresistable urge to get something enchanted while I'm out wandering in the wilderness.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Yup, even the basement of Molag Mar holds little interest. I know, not even a Ping Pong table Hope you get rid of that pop-up.

Malware scam gone. It didn't actually download -- this one was like a vampire; it can't come through the door unless you actually invite it in. I'm off to Dagon Fel to do some adventuring. There are a lot of caves and shrines up thataway. The Temple no longer approves of me now that I have the Moon and Star, but, hey, I've been thrown out of better places. Edit: With all the best intentions in the world to get on with the main plot, I have found myself meandering again. Not that this is a problem -- except that my character is now level 46 and I really haven't actually done all that much. The game is sort of like this: (cue combat music) Enemy enters, stage right. ZAP! Search body (cue generic Morrowind music) I now find myself on a hunt for the Propylon Indexes, which is an enormous waste of time, given that I really don't need to quick travel. And after that, there are some nifty caves up Dagon Fel way... It seems to me that my mages in both Oblivion and Morrowind have levelled up very quickly. I've started using a staff or fisticuffs to stop levelling in Longsword. So how is everybody else doing?

I haven't levelled Endurance much in this game, either -- partly because it never gets a double or triple on the level up. I have been diligently giving myself one point of Luck on every level up since about level 10. Who knows what difference it really makes? I've never noticed any. But I don't want to get stuck with only Luck left at level up time, and I do want to see if I can get all my attributes to 100. Why not? I think I can do it if I work at it a bit. Power Game!
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I've been bad, as always. I'd interrupted my Morrowind to push on with a few other games for now..-see the "What are you playing?" thread....

I've run through a game raising Luck as well. I think what I noticed most was having more critical hits with sword and arrow and finding a bit more loot.

I have noticed some good criticals, but that was using Sneak. I should pay more attention. Mind you, my Longsword skill is only around 70, so I have a way to go.
On the loot side, this game doesn't aeem as good -- not that it matters when you've got 500,000 in cash and a room full of shiny things you can't be bothered to sell.
I have all but one of the Indexes. Of course, I looked up the locations of the ones I hadn't found; those things are mercilessly tiny. Even when you know where they are, it's hard to see some of them. Anyway, once I have the last one I can bounce around to my heart's content.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

The Dwemer culture reminds me, a little, of the techno-gaslight-medieval world of Thief, odd bits of this and that thrown together. I especially like the Dwemer observatories. And of course, the Orrery in Oblivion is Dwemer, or at least it sure looks that way to me -- perhaps it's the last truly functioning bit of Dwemer technology anywhere.
Now for a trip to Creeper, or maybe just to dump my current loot on my bed in AldRuhn, and then off to impress me some Hlallu. Gotta get this Main Quest moving along. For some reason I don't feel like I've covered much physical ground in this game. Not sure why that is. Anyway, I now have a Levitate spell that lasts almost two minutes, so with the Boots I can really cover ground.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
