What a wonderful game.

But a little problem in Chapter 1: The Foyer.

Picked up all what was needed for the farm painting that I completed, the chest puzzle, etc.

I got the Cold Iron Sun that became the Radiant Sun in the fire place.

Put the Radiant Sun on the Cloud Door that opened.

And I can't go up the stairs????

When I click in the opening of the door, I get this message that "These stone clouds are.....raining"

Thanks in advance for your help. thanks

Did you check in the walkthrough if you missed any little thing at all in that level? It sounds like you did the right thing, but maybe you missed something somewhere else?

Hi Chief,

Several people have reported the same issues over at the BF forum. I would contact customer service tomorrow so they can help you with that issue since I am sure they are aware of it.

If I find an answer before we open tomorrow. I will post it here for you.

Good Luck!

What a fantastic game!!! Beautiful in every way - graphics, music, puzzles - even the narrator's voice is just perfect. I didn't want to miss anything. I cannot wait for a sequel.

Congratulations to all responsible at Big Fish for a job well done!!!!

There's just one problem.......I'm depressed because I finished the game frown

Hello Ana and Margie.

I replayed Part 1, The Foyer 3 times, each time doing things in a different order, and was able to go up the stairs on each occasions.

Why did it not work on the first time???? headscratch

And on with the game.

wave Hey, all!

Enjoying the game. Used the hint system a few times. Finding absolutely no lag time with loading from one scene to another...

And then along comes Trippy with a dumb question....are all the graphics dark except maybe for the pictures? I felt like I had to brighten my monitor most of the way up to see anything.
Only played the demo so undecided whether to get it or not.

grin

I am in the Witch Doctor and need to exit the painting but I cannot find the arrow! I have run my cursor all over the place but no exit arrow appears.

Duh! What do I do now please??

Trippy, not sure how I missed you before, but the game was not dark for me. You may need to change the settings on your monitor. It's a fantastic game!

DArlene, they can't make part two fast enough for me. lol

Linda, I recall getting stuck like that a few times and the suddenly I'd get an arrow. duh

Halfway through the game my computer froze and then it went crazy flashing. The only way to stop it was to shut my power surge. Then I had to do two system restores and there is still a couple of things messed up.
I did write Big Fish but there is no way I am going to start fooling around with my computer trying to fix one game.
Oh well. $6.99 down the drain.

I agree--the game is wonderful. The whole time I have been playing it, I have been thinking that many full-length adventure games could learn some lessons here in game design. This game eliminates some of the not-so-fun aspects of many adventure games and keeps the good stuff.

GB friends,

Please forgive me. I am a newbie in this casual area.

I am thinking of getting this game, but I am quite unsure why this is categorized under "casual" or "adventure lite".

Judging from the messages before and other comments I read elsewhere, the gameplay is inventory and puzzle based, rather than the usual "hidden object game". Am I missing something? Is the judgment based on the platform for the release?

Can this game compare to Emerald City Confidential? I love ECC and would consider ECC as a full-fledged adventure game.

Appreciate any feedback and help.

Just finished this game on my new pc, I might add. It was great. The graphics were fabulous, the music hauntingly beautiful and a wonderful storyline. It worked great and I am looking forward to a sequel, I hope. yes

Hi Dave,

This game has a lot less talking than Emerald City Confidential and more puzzle solving. I would say that the game is referred to as adventure lite because: a) it's coming from a casual game portal and developers and b) it's shorter than many traditional full-length adventure games.

I think you will really enjoy this game; it's beautiful, and the puzzles are interesting and varied. And, for 6.99, I would say it's a steal. Try it; I think you will like it. smile

Big Fish is really making a push for adventure games. I am truly impressed by the company's efforts.

Thanks for the tip, Marian. I will dive into it right away.

DAve, it is considered an adventure-lite because
it is much easier than a full adventure game therefore appealing to the casual gamer.

It is also able to be played in short burst, you could solve one section and quit and be okay, whereas in a full adventure game you generally are on a longer mission and instant gratification isn't as frequent.

Big Fish may have started as a casual gaming portal, but they have proven to be much more than that. They develop top quality games as well as act as a portal for many full adventure games.

Introducing Adventure games to the millions of casual gamers and offering them a lighter version that is less complicated to play is a great boost to adventure gaming in my opinion.
