Hmm, maybe I bought a DS just in time. I think I may get this game IF I can manage to play the DS. I've never seen one, just ordered it from Amazon and hoping for the best. BTW, it is shipping today so I will know within a week how things will (or won't?) work out. Right now I'm trying to find out where I will be able to get hints and/or walkthroughs for the DS games.

Hi BrownEyedTigre,
Does this make me a Fruit Loop for taking a chance on buying something I know so little about?

I have preordered this !
Sierramindy, my son bought me my DS and I love it. It really isn't difficult to use, there are tons of games to love. As always, there is the odd horrible difficult to control game but we get those on the PC too. I can recommend Animal Crossing & the Professor Leyton games - there are HOGs for the DS too ...

I ordered 3 games along with the DS: one was Professor Layton and the Curious Village because I have long thought that seemed like it would be a nice game. The 2 others are casual HOG games: Mystery P.I. Portrait of a Thief and Amazing Adventures, The Forgotten Ruins. Got these since I played several Mystery P.I. and Amazing Adventures on my computer and liked them all. So hopefully I will like the DS games too. I even have 5 other games waiting to buy if I find I like playing on the DS. I remember seeing Animal Crossing and wondering if that would be a good game so now I will add it to my list if all goes well, along with ABC Murders!

I just checked out the trailer and the game looks pretty intriguing. I used the buy button and on Dreamcatcher site the game shows its price as $29.99, but I'm pretty sure that I saw it the other day for there for $27.99, on Amazon.

I love those DS games and I just finished playing Undercover Dual Motives thumbsup, a great game and I'll probably have to trade it to be able to buy more DS's games, got to keep the games rollin. lol

My daughter thinks a DS might while away the lonely nights at work, but I'm spoilt by BFG and can't justify paying £30 for a game I might hate.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention, Ana. I've just been to Amazon UK and found it at £14.95. Somehow I inadvertantly strayed to the 'order' button whistle Oops!

cris53, I also like the games on BFG and I'm a frequent player also but I do like the fact that you can take the game with you anywhere which I have done on several vacations, also use it while you have those long waits in the Dr. office, on a bus etc, etc. And if you don't want to pay full price you can always by like new games on ebay for half the price of new. So in the end its whatever floats your boat. lol

Is there still no sign of this coming out on the pc then?
Maybe if it does well on the ds they may consider it.

It has been stated already that this one was never intended to come out on the PC. It is for DS only.

I bought a DSi before an upcoming trip to the West Coast. Long hours on a plane and in airports just couldn't be filled by reading a book. I love the DS games...particularly Professor Layton (and oh, by the way, if you google, you can find a walkthrough for some of the more difficult puzzles where the hint system just doesn't work...sliders). I've got my 82 year old Mom hooked now. She loves the word games like Jumble and crosswords. Now I know what to get her for Christmas! I'll definitely be picking up the new Agatha Christie!

JKErie, I love those crosswords also, I have the New York Times one, love it. I also saw a Mahjong game that looks like one I used to play on my PC, that's one I think I could get hooked on. Hard to choose which one to buy because there are so many games that are coming out now. happydance

Hi Marie...I got the USA Today crossword and the Crossword game with the Anagram feature made for Nintendo where you have to make so many words out of a handful of letters. Mom and I like to play that one together. It's amazing the simple words you can't think of to complete the game!
