Hi there! I put this game down about a year ago, because for some reason, although I can plainly see Mrs Blackwell lying in her shallow grave, using the pliers on her teeth does not result in me being able to pull one. I simply get a message saying: "That wasn't useful." If I click on the little looking glass, it gives me commntary about Mrs Blackwell - so I'm pretty sure I have the correct skeleton. Also, it definitely is 4 o'clock - that's the time on my gamesave. I've checked Mag's walkthrough - and I've checked in inventory for a tooth, but no tooth. The pliers I'm using, have orangey red handles; - could there possibly be another pair of pliers I need to use, or what is going on here? Help will be much appreciated. EDIT: Yet when I pull back from the close-up, I automatically re-bury Catherine. Could it be that I have the tooth in inventory without realising it? What does the tooth look like? I don't see anything that looks like a tooth...

Hi Moondancer,
Double check the toolbox in the garage, see if there's anything left to take there. As you're getting an active cursor on the skeleton, I'm thinking it must be the choice of tool. Do you have any other tools in inventory apart from the pliers with orangey red handles?
Did you read the document in the secret room which tells how to prepare the amulet?

Hi Moondancer,
Did you read the document in the secret room which tells how to prepare the amulet? Thanks, Rushes, I'm wondering if that might not be my problem.. sadly the grave is closed up now, and I cannot seem to click on the "spot" again... I guess I'll restore an earlier save, and try again... Thanks for the fast response..

Wait, is Catherine's tooth a sort of a grey, blackish colour? Um, I was looking for something beige or yellow/ivory-coloured... Ok, no, that's not it.. - where does one read the recipe again? *sigh* Sorry about this...

It's no problem, we'll get that tooth somehow. The secret room is below the chapel altar. Look at the desk there and read the March 26 paper.

Oh no! ..and to think I left the game for more than a year, and even replayed a large part now, simply because I should have clicked the pliers on Catherine's nose, and not her teeth..- I had a good look at the picture in Mag's walkthrough just now, and saw the pliers were being held at the nose in the screenshot there.. Thanks for your wonderful walkthroughs , Mag! ...and thanks for all your patience and your help, Rushes, I GOT IT!

On her nose? Wonderful that you got the tooth, finally! Enjoy the rest of the game.

Finished the original game, thanks to Gameboomers. Now to see what The Last Visit has in store... Thanks for your willingness to help, Rushes!

Hi Moondancer: I wish a favor. I just completed Scratches; The Director's Cut. I played it on XP without a problem, but The Final Visitsimply wouldn't run. If you can, please leave a comment stating how that part of the game worked for you. Thanks in advance.

Hi there, The Haze. I've just started The Last Visit. I'm also playing in XP, and didn't seem to have any problems.
You simply need to click on "new" for a new game, and some blue text at the very bottom of the screen will ask you if you want to play the Scratches original, or The Last Visit.
In my case, clicking on the blue text saying "The Last Visit" immediately launched into the cutscene that The Last Visit starts off with.
EDIT: Just finished with The Last Visit. Did you carefully click on the correct line of blue text, The Haze?

I did all the proper stuff and began the game without problem. My diffuculty occurred when I clicked on the hole (In front of the porch) which was open to the basement. When I did that everythiung shut down and dumped me to th desktop again. I tried it a few times with the same result and then uninstalled everything.

The Haze, The developer was aware of that problem. Have you checked the patch here.
