The next time you download from BigFish you will get a new Game Manager. Here is the announcement by BFG-Guy: Hello - In the spirit of keeping our customers in the loop, the next time you download you will get a new game manager. As you know we recently added new features like "New game updates" for bug fixes, improved pause/resume, better negotiation with firewalls and poor internet connections.
The changes with this release are subtle but important: • It gets a name..."Game Manager" - yes, very creative • Collector’s Edition Trial/Purchase Support - no more guessing if a Collector's Edition is worth the bonus features • The Big Fish Games Toolbar offer (US only) - optional and "opt-in" ability to add our IE and Firefox games toolbar. it will ask you once and then it is up to you if you want to add it later. • An expanded and redesigned Options Menu - More "options" and easier to navigate • Multiple/ External drive support - No more lost games on external hard drives that are unplugged or change from "F:" to "G:" issues. • Failed installation reporting - Provides diagnostics for our CS folks to help solve installation issues Ana

I will have to be sure to watch what's checked... one can only use so many toolbars. I use Google Chrome.
Has anyone else not received confirmation of having bought their 6 games for December?

I just received my credit but was a bit shocked to see that it expires in March. That bothers me. What if there are no games I chose to buy before then? What if I were to leave town for 6 months? Get sick and be unable to play games?
Chances are there will be plenty of games that I like but I'm not sure I like there being an expiration date.

I suppose you are right... I guess I worry about there being a game I like before then, but of course there will be. I can't explain why the limitation ruffled my feathers... but it did. I'll get over it.

There may be expiration dates on these game credits for accounting reasons, as well. BFG-Guy explained a while back on the Big Fish forums the following (this was in reference to previous coupons that expired at the end of the year): "The Octoberfest coupon has a year-end expiration for accounting reasons. It was given away, yet we are still paying developers royalties as if it was a normal Game Club credit, so that hits our "books" as a deferred liability without any corresponding revenue and there were a LOT of them. Having that coupon expire by year end allows us to clean-up our accounting for year end." This is just by way of illustrating that Big Fish may have very good reasons for these expiration dates and I highly doubt that they are arbitrary. I'm sure there is a tremendous amount of work involved in distributing and accounting for these free game credits that the customer can scarcely begin to imagine. I think what Big Fish is doing is just great.

THanks Marian, for both the news and for a look at the positive side versus the trend towards gravitating toward the the negative. It doesn't seem like anyone can do anything anymore without it being twisted into something to complain about and quite frankly it's taking it's toll. Ana

Uh oh... so sorry I said anything. I was surprised... and temporarily disappointed... but I'm over it. I agree with Ana.
