You mean the stone tablets that give +4 wisdom? Yes, they should be in your inventory. Look again because I kept overlooking them. They are near the bottom of the inventory.

Smart, changing the title of the thread or I would never have seen the edit.

Hi again Pokey smile

Thanks for the help you have been giving !! thumbsup

I thought I'd checked all my inventory pages but I'll go take another look.

[Do you know whether if I don't find any, even though I KNOW I've collected several, it will affect my being able to complete a quest - or even the game ?? eek]

Cheers.

Mad thanks

I believe wisdom is only useful for a mage.

The stone tablets are with the books and documents. They are the square white objects.

Hi Pokey smile

Thank you for your help to date yes

However, I've decided to re-start the game and follow the "Inquisitor" path this time.

Then, when I get stuck, the walkthrough should be of more help as I find the info given in it for being a follower of the Don rather confusing/incomplete ....

But I really like the game so it's no hardship AND at least this time around I shouldn't get lost quite so often as I now have a much better idea of the island's layout.
[What a cheat, eh ?? evil]

Still, if I DO get badly stuck, I hope you might be willing to help me out again ??

Many thanks.

Cheers.

I've read that the Inquisitor path is more interesting the the Don's path. You should be able to play through from the beginning without much trouble, but I will be here to help if it is needed.

Hi smile

I'm through the gate into the volcano and after exploring North, I have now been sent to find Rufus, who was sent South.

Well I've found him
Click to reveal..
(dead eek)
but had to use one of my dwindling supply of "levitation scrolls" to reach him.

I only have two of these scrolls left and have a horrible suspicion I could need more oops

I know how to call up the cheat console when in-game so does anyone know what, if anything, I can type there, to cheat and get myself a couple more levitation scrolls, please ??

Thanks.

You can also go back to the monastery and buy more scrolls.

Hi smile

Yes, looney4labs, I've seen that list but it doesn't mention scrolls so perhaps you can't get them.

And Pokey, maybe that's what I'll have to do, then !!

Thank you both thumbsup

Cheers.

Hi!
Just to let you all know that I have been playing Risen for a couple of weeks now. I have chosen the Bandit Camp way. I doubt that I will play again choosing the other path because I usually do not play the same game twice.
Does anyone know if there will be an expansion soon or Risen 2? I really love this game and have had no problems with it running. I finished Dragon Age: Origins just before Christmas and loved that game too.
Sure hope that there is an expansion to Risen or Risen 2.
Later.
Carol

I'm sure I saw an expansion announced somewhere, but blow me down if I can find it now...

mAMMU, Mr. Google wasn't able to find anything about an expansion or sequel, but perhaps it's too early. wave

The end of the game left the impression that there would be a sequel, but nothing has been announced. Have you played Drakensang? Fallout 3 is great too.

Has anyone had any trouble with the game screen looking kind of washed out?
I have NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS video card and have the latest driver for it.

I see lots of people on the forums have had problems trying to get the picture clear and the way it should be.

I tried the patch 101 international fix but that didn't do anything for me.

I have tried moving the sliders for brightness and contrast and the colors back and forth but can't seem to get any of it right.

I even sent an email to support but have not heard from them and am not sure if I ever will so I have come here for help.

Does anyone else have a Nvidia card and what settings do you have?

Its very hard to play if you can't see the people or where your going or the monsters for that matter. frown

I also have an Nvidia card, VHLMagic, and I did seem to have that problem at the beginning of the game, and especially when there was a lightning storm going on. However, you will find that the lightning storms decrease and even cease later in the game.

In addition to fiddling with the colours, I also fiddled with the gamma and especially the contrast,(increase the contrast, after which you might also want to increase/decrease the gamma slightly according to your preference) (in-game, not on the Nvidia control panel) and it did work for me, BUT
please keep in mind that you have to restart (exit the game and open it again) for many of the changes you do to take effect.

Oh Thank You Moondancer.
I didn't restart the game so maybe that was why I didn't see any difference. Will have to try that.
I don't remember there being a gamma control but will check again and try that too.
================================================================================

Went back into game and tried your suggestions and nothing worked so still in the same place.

I need to know where the sliders should be to have a good picture for this game.

I went into Gothic III and the sliders where all at 0% and the picture is perfect but the same settings didn't work for Risen.

This is the only game that I have this problem with and it doesn't make sense.
