Has anyone updated their version of Malware to 1.44 lately? It came out in January 07, 2010.

My shortcut encountered a problem with "mbam.exe file not found" so I decided to download and reinstall it but guess what - I'm getting the same error.

I sent an email to their support center and am currently waiting for a reply.

LadyLinda, I've been running version 1.44 since it was released and have had absolutely no issues with it at all.

Right click on your shortcut and look at the Properties and then the target. That tells the shortcut where to look for the mbam file. If the target location got messed up, it won't look for it in the right place. Go find where the actual file is and see if it matches the target location.

I had a feeling it might be just my PC.
Whatever I caught, it got past Avast and Spybot.

I got a reply from the Malware Support team and they requested me to download and run a program called Combofix. It took about 80 minutes to complete and then I had to send back to them the file that was created.

I just did all of that a few minutes ago so now I'm waiting to see if they will respond soon.

I'll be up for about another hour so.
