I'm taking a break from my exciting detour into HOG games to play this one. It's the first action game I've gotten into in a good while. I think the last one I played was Undying or Alice.
Has anyone else played this one at all? I've just made to the outside of the Vault so I'm still very early in the game.

I'll try and keep that in mind. Thank you, Pokey!
We bought the Game of the Year Edition so it came with all of the expansion packs included.

I liked it, too. I was shocked when the end came so soon! Next time I'll do more of the side quests.

What's Operation Anchorage? An expansion?

Operation Anchorage and Point Lookout sound kind of fun. I can't wait to play those.
I made myself stop playing last night and watched a movie with my husband. He's been feeling a bit neglected this past week due to Fallout 3 fever.

Thank you, Ana. I did but I went a little overboard. I feel like my eyeballs are about to burst into flames.

I loved it, but haven't done the expansions. Off to the stores!

I played Point Lookout last week. I liked it a lot but not quite as much as I thought I would. I liked the side quests more than anything else and I left it before even finishing the main quest and now I'm playing The Pitt expansion. And hey, I found the teaser trailer for Fallout: New Vegas. It comes out this summer. I may be done playing 3 by that time. I can hear my husband groaning in agony in the next room. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epFupigyIN8

I guess I really should load this one up and give it a try. It's one of a stack of games I haven't played yet, but I got stuck in Dragon Age, and I can feel a Thief bender coming on...
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

AnneG, you gotta get hubby to come join the fun We bought him Left 4 Dead a few weeks ago. I was hoping that would keep him occupied for a while but a while lasted about 4 nights. Maybe if I got him an Xbox.... I guess I really should load this one up and give it a try. It's one of a stack of games I haven't played yet, but I got stuck in Dragon Age, and I can feel a Thief bender coming on... I can't recommend this game enough, hagatha. It's a good game and very addictive. The gameworld itself is very big. If you prefer rpg's, it's got plenty of quests and things of that nature to keep you occupied. If you like action better you can ignore the quests and just go shoot things. I love it and I can't wait for New Vegas to come out.

I don't think so Smiley because you get that Rad Regeneration perk because of the mutation.

That's to bad, since my charcter doesn't have any real use for the mutation.
Edit: How's it going for you AnneG? Are you making lots of progress?

Oh, I am, Smiley. I've played all of the expansions now, except for Broken Steel. I could never get that one to start. I think it's a conflict with one of the pc mods I'm running with the game.
Operation Anchorage was pretty fun. So was The Pitt. Point Lookout was definitely the best out of them. The only one I didn't care for at all was Mothership Zeta. It was like I was playing a totally different game. After the first hour of it I just kept playing in order to get through it and back to the Capital Wasteland.
Right now I'm playing through a mod called DC Interiors, which makes many of the abandoned shops and buildings in the Metro area open and explorable.
So far, I've clocked around 140 hours with this game. It's been a fun filled 140 hours, for sure.

Wow.... 140 hours are a lot. I've only made it halfway myself, since I got injured last month. So I've only been able to just recently get back to the game. But progress is slow at the moment Edit: Where do I find the last intel case? (Doing "Operation: Anchorage")
