Hi- smile

Can someone tell me if The Gates of Andaron and Mount and Blade - Warband are point and click games??
I have looked at the sites, but I have not found any answers for this question.

Thanks

Here is the layout for Gates of Anderon.

THe Mount and Blade appears to need both the mouse and keyboard.
Quote:
The combat system is intuitive, allowing players to opt for automatically targeted blocks and attacks, or designate them by using mouse movement and keyboard movement. An enemy charges at you, vicious axe held overhead, and swings downward with brutal force – no matter for you though, because you adapt to this maneuver and block upward, stopping his attack and stunning him briefly. It’s fast-paced, versatile, and morbidly thrilling to hear the sound of your opponent being ripped apart. At least until someone runs a spear through your back and sends it out of your chest.

there are a lot of point and click games but that genre is slowly dying out. fewer and fewer point and click games are being made as graphics in fast-paced action games and first person shooters take the games to new heights. you can still buy a lot of older adventure games from online stores offering downloadable versions of the games. good old games (gog.com) and a few others are striving to keep the genre alive online. the critically acclaimed URU: Ages Beyond Myst has recently gone completely user supported and open source to allow people to download and play URU online for free. to find it just goole: MO:UL and you shall find it. my money is still on the Myst series which is still a big seller online. i currently have all 6 games in the Myst series and I still play them to this day!

I have a lot of older games that are point and click, quite a few newer ones too. But I keep all the good ones. I started out playing Dungeon Siege and still enjoy it. I am glad companies are keeping it alive for many of us who just enjoy a game played that way. With me it is my wrist, it is bad and the point and click for me has always been easier.

Thanks and hope you enjoy Gameboomer, it is the best and a real family here. welcome
