My game is running beautifully except my character is flickering and almost non-existent. What can I do to fix this?

Does the game have any options to reduce visual effects? So you can turn off things like animations, antialiasing, anisotropic filtering, shadows, etc.

Yes, it does . . . I'll try that and see what happens.

So, it has this under its options:
Gamma
Screen resolution
Screen Refresh Rate
Scenery Quality
Character Quality
Background Characters (On/Off)
Anti-Aliasing (I have it set on 1)
Reflection (On/Off)

Gamma probably won't affect anything except whether you're able to see things in dark areas, so you can put that at whatever setting is comfortable for you.

Put screen refresh rate to 60 Hz

Try reducing other things (or turning them off) to see if you can get the character to stop flickering. If he stops flickering, see how much you can add back without getting the flickering character.

What video card do you have? If it's low end, you may have to play the game at the minimum settings.

I have an NVIDIA GeForce 6200 256MB video card. Just had it updated about 6 months ago. I'll try the refresh rate.

Now, granted I can still play the game it's just that I can't see the characters. Kind of annoying. The cut scenes are fine though.

Did you turn down everything or just the refresh rate?

I turned Anti-aliasing down to 1 (that's the furthest it would go), turned down the refresh rate to 60hz, turned the resultion down to 1280x720, turned off the background characters and turned off reflection.

Did it allow you to turn down scenery quality and character quality?

Are you able to reduce graphics acceleration on your version of Windows?

I tried the character quality and no difference. I can reduce graphics acceleration through dxdiag. Maybe I'll try that.

The system requirements for this game says that you'll need at least a Nvidia Geforce 6600 card (agp) to play this game.

http://www.vgrequirements.info/black-mirror-2/

If you read Rushes' review of the game, you'll ned a 6800 (agp) Nvidia card at least.

http://www.gameboomers.com/forum/ubbthre...html#Post619859

If you have an agp port, you can get a Radeon card, a 3450 or 3650 card, which is very good.
