I tried doing a search but couldn't find anything so please forgive me if the answer is here somewhere This year I have decided to "bite the bullet" and upgrade my 6+ year old computer. I think I am just wearing it out and I am ready for a much larger HD than my current 80gb. It wasn't long ago that the BFG games would Not run on a 64 bit system - has this been changed? I also seem to remember reading that we need to buy Win 7 Professional to be able to continue playing the games? Is this for the 32 bit vs. 64 bit systems? I am hoping to wait until Christmas because I have been extremely lucky with getting a great deal plus extras then - so this is just a "scouting party" sort of question. Linda

I think this question is best suited for BigFish but I will move you to Glitches in case they have anything additional to add since this isn't a discussion about a game. Ana

I have over twenty games from Big Fish from ones that are 4 years old to brand news ones - all run perfectly on my 64-bit Win 7 system. No, you do not need to buy Professional to continue playing games. The Pro version does have XP, but the Home edition has compatibility modes for XP, 98, 95 and on down. You might want to refer to the Windows 7 and Games thread here in Glitches for more info... Win 7 and Games

Oh! I phrased it wrong Jenny - I am not planning to upgrade my 6 yo computer, I am upgrading Me to a new computer which is why I am asking the 64 bit question. I have a friend that purchased a 64 bit notebook over a year ago and at that time none of her BFG games would play - but I thought I had read that they will now. Susie07 and draclvr for your input. Now I can dream and drool over what I will be giving myself for Christmas!
So many games, so little time.

Hi, smitty!
I purchased "Azada" from BFG last month and didn't have any problems at all, so it's not your operating system. Maybe the game doesn't like one of your hardware components and that's what's causing it to freeze.

Did you contact BFG because they have a software application called "Dr. Felix" that will diagnose your system, and then they'll work with you to fix the problem, if possible.

Linda I had to play this game in compatibility mode. You might want to take Inland's suggestion. Good Luck!

Have you tried running the game in compatibility mode? I've had to do the same with a few. Yes, I did try it in compatibility mode. I'm going to set it aside for now. Others were Funny thing is Azada 2 plays fine. Since we updated the Video Driver I don't seem to have a problem with other games. I did see some posts from last month on the BF forums of the same issues. I'll be checking with customer service. Thank you all ~ Carol
