Here's a site where people discuss whether Office 2000 will work on Windows 7. *Is Microsoft Office 2000 compatible with Windows 7* Office 2007 apparently works fine with Windows 7. *Windows 7 & Microsoft Office* Apparently Office 2003 works as well. *Installing Office 2003 in Windows 7* If your version of Office came with the old laptop, it may not be transferrable. Do you have an Office CD?

InlandAZ BAAG Specialist Joined: Aug 2002 Posts: 7,263 Arizona	I believe Office (the retail versions) are only allowed on a single PC at a time - you may be able to transfer it to another, but they definitely won’t allow you to run it on 2 PC's. If it's an OEM version (like Dell) it may be tied to the physical hardware (I don't know for sure, all my Office products are MSDN).

I purchased Office 2003 for my WinXP computer, but I installed it on the new computer that I purchased last September and it ran perfectly under Vista and it also runs perfectly under my 64-bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium. It is what I bought last year and have it on mine, my wife's & my oldest son's computer. It is something new that they started last year. Surprised me, because before I always had to take it off of my old computer and move it to my new one when buying a new computer. Happy Gamming All, OldMan44
