The Inquisitor from BFG

Played all the way thru non-stop til Chapter 6: Locks on Pharmacist's door.
Stopped to hopefully re-set puzzle, but when I try to go back to game:

Quote:
The message was Error: Access violation at 0 x 0045D600
(tried to read 0 x 0000001C), program terminated.

From what I've been reading, that would seem to be the norm.

I know from experience BFG will stand behind their games,
but I don't want another game...I want to finish this one.
Same problem with "Little Noir Stories: The Case of the Missing Girl",
to name just one other one...
I wanna see how it ends...so close I can almost smell it...

It sounds like the autosave didn't work correctly.
Are you able to access the main menu and start a new game? You might have to create a new player.

katbear50 the same thing has happened to me at the exact same spot in Chapt.6. This is ashame because I feel like you do and don't want a credit I want to know how the game ends after putting that much time and effort into the story. I saw on BFG that most got stuck in this same place. There is no way to even get to the loading screen. If you find out how to get the game to load please let me know. I don't want to start over again, I mainly lose interest when I replay a game.

If a lot of people are getting the error, Big Fish will send on the information to the developer so the developer can fix their game. All of you who get the error and don't want a credit, be sure to report the problem to Big Fish and tell them you want to wait for the updated version where the problem is fixed. Play something else in the meantime.

I agree, after I have reached a dénouement,
I really have no desire to re-start.
I relate it to reading a 450 page novel only to find pages 400-435 missing.

And Jenny my experience with BFG and game problems...
one could sit til their hair turned gray
waiting for a the bugs to be ironed out.

I suppose you could check the game folder for what looks like video files and try playing them outside of the game.

Big Fish does update games, but unless the games are made by Big Fish themselves, they have to rely on the developer for updates.
