I started playing this game yesterday and wow it is the most interesting adv. game I have played in a while. It's literally got me glued to my seat.
After being bored to death with Everlight and Outcry I was wondering if I would ever find a new adventure game that I would enjoy. Well I finally did.
After I finish it I will start Next Life and then I will be caught up with all the adventure games I bought over the last 3 years and never played. It's really hard to get into adventure games after you have played action/adventure & shooters. They are just so much more exciting. I find most of todays adventure games more annoying than enjoyable. But I am sure it is just me, cause it appears adventure games are getting more popular than they were a few years ago, and there are surely plenty coming out.
Anyway I hope Next Life is as exciting as Overclocked. I need a few more good ones to boost my liking again. crazy

JohnBoy,
Glad to see you're still playing. All the shooting I do is for real, my bow and arrows, hand weapons, so it's always been adventures for me. I say Overclocked on sale so will take your advise and check it out.

Overclocked was one of the best games I've played in a long time - like you I just couldn't put the game down.

I want more, just like it.

JohnBoy, I loved Overclocked, too. What a great game! thumbsup Glad you are enjoying it. Have you played The Moment of Silence, which is also by House of Tales?

I loved Next Life, too, in spite of some arcade sequences I didn't care for. But since you play that type of game, you will probably not mind them at all. I thought the game had a very intriguing story and premise. Hope you have a great time with that one as well. bravo

I loved the Moment of Silence. It was one of my favorites at that time.

I'm playing Overclocked right now and liking what I see so far. What a coincidence.

John, Its really a interesting game. Great story and using the PDA to get info from the patients was a clever idea. I am half way through and still glued to my seat. I just hope the ending isn't as disappointing as the reviews have stated.

Thoroughly enjoyed this game the story had me hooked all the way through.

I am really looking forward to the house of tales new game 15 days wich should be out shortly.

I did hear though that the house of tales are no more and that Tobias and Martin have parted ways, I hope this is not true.

How many recent games compare with "Moment" and "Overclocked?"

Loved Overclocked from beginning to end. Especially the way the story unfolds.

Just finished the game. I would rank it in my top 5 favorites of all time. I got a sick feeling with

the deer and the barb wire
but I got over it. cry

A terrific game - I was so driven to see the conclusion that I cheated horribly all the way through and followed the walkthrough exclusively, like reading a riveting thriller. There were several poignant moments which affected me and that's a sign that I'm really involved in the story.

A vastly underestimated and largely unpublicised game!

I hated that scene too, JohnBoy. frown

I'm replaying the game right now, but haven't reached that point yet.

JohnBoy, Thanks for this post. I bought Overclocked a couple of years ago but I didn't play it. After buying it, I read that it was very dark and disturbing, so that kind of put me off. Sounds like I better get to it!

gatsbygirl... I had a similar experience.
Bought this awhile ago at the second hand store, and promptly forgot I owned it.
I must play it now, sounds perfect for the mood I'm in after being disappointed with the last couple full fledged adventures I purchased.
(I kinda like dark and disturbing, as long as it's a good story!)
Thanks fellow GB's for reminding me that I had something great already sitting on the shelf! Loading it up now...

Good to hear such a glowing report. smile I've just finished Black Mirror 2 (great), Belief & Betrayal (not bad I suppose, but glad I'll never have to hear "Maybe if I try with this ... or I could try with that ... no, sorry, I can't do it!" again), and have had Overclocked for months which I'll be starting over the weekend. happydance
